I got one with fuel injection.
I’m left handed, it saved my life…had the rpm’s way up in second gear, let the clutch out quick, my right hand came off the throttle, or I would have flipped off the back.
It’s a very quick very fast bike.. it has some screaming eagle signs..
Don’t know if it’s just the air in take or more.. but I love it.
It’s like a big dirt bike.. ..

I have an 03 Dyna Super Glide with over a hundred thousand miles on it. Seriously. And it is still running like a champ.

I had one. Bought it brand new in Oceanside (Harley's House of Harleys). Never should have sold it.
as a beginner rider, i had a superglide for my first bike and im 5'7 with boots on and was able to ride it

my 2005 Super Glide runs fantastic and. although i have not had an issue with the cam chain tensioners but i am doing a 3000 mile trip so i decided to go with the screaming eagle hydrolic tensioner because it is a better design and even though I know people running on original tensioners with 200,000 miles with no failure but i can not afford a breakdown and i have 42000 miles so this year the cam tensioners and next year an upgrade to 95ci kit but since they quit making the Super Glides I will continue to maintain mine and ride the crap put of it because i dont want a softail and like the handling of the Super Glide and have since the 71 model
I just picked up an 04 superglide for 4400 with 6k miles and its black.
I'm a rookie at riding and I was considering the Super Glide for my first bike. I didn't wanna go too small since I'm a big guy (6'3 255) so I hope she's a nice fit for me. Great video.

Love an air cooled carburetor machine even though the bean counters and cam chains were second to the 2 cams of 1928
The Dyna makes a fine touring bike for a real biker.
Yeah for some of us maybe. I have a 02 Dyna with 12,000 original miles on it all it does is break down or ride like a POS. Will never buy an older Harley again no matter how low the mileage is.
If I have enough money I’ll trade it for a new LR Softail or Sport Glide.
Sick of this bike costing $2k every time I take it in.

Got the same year, color, and all. Was a lil surprised when i saw a near identical bike in the thumbnail. I'm a shorter guy though so i have mid controls on mine and still have the front pegs if i want to stretch while cruising. Fun little bike I'm still learning though.

Around town bike? No, it's the best handling bike moco makes, therefore the best for all uses. What good is a big tourer that blows when you get to a fun road? Looks like you're a flatlander though, so maybe it's a thousand miles to a good road.

I was thinking of buying a 2004 Dyna Low Rider. What about the cam tensioner shoes issue? I've read a little about it. I heard aftermarket "Cyco" shoes will solve the problem. What is your opinion on that and should the dealer install the Cyco shoes at their cost? Thanks.
I am 6’3” and I have a 99 fxds conv. Dyna convertible. Mine has mid controls which make the bike feel small. Besides that it is a very good , dependable and strong bike. P.s. anyone out there in UA-cam land with a dyna that has forward controls and you’re kinda too short for them , let me know if you’d wanna swap controls haha
Forward controls are way more comfortable, gottm on my 2000 Super
