  • Andor is a brilliant star wars spin-off, handling its link to its greater universe perfectly. I believe its formula can be easily adapted for the whoniverse and will actually result in a better reception from fans.

Honestly didn't think I would see a video that would crossover two of my favorite shows in this way but great idea!

Thanks. I definitely think its a direction they could take. Even for like the daleks and cybermen. Like the dalek stories to me just are not the strongest in the modern era and the cybermen were deffo the scariest in the s10 finale but most of the time arent. Doing a more adult/mature take on them would be so cool to see if done right.

Another option for Doctor Who spin offs could be to also center around around the Doctor. Such as creating an 8th Doctor Series, a Fugitive/Ruth Doctor Series, and a Time War Series. I imagine an 8th Doctor Series would simply be like an extra season or two of Doctor Who that finally gives the 8th Doctor more than one American-made movie. A Fugitive/Ruth Doctor Series could be interesting. I quite enjoyed that Doctor in her one episode. It could give the opportunity to explore the Doctor's past in a more interesting way than a few minutes of explanation that upended the entire history of the Doctor, and it could try to make more sense out of or retcon the Timeless Child. A series Time War could be extremely interesting and could show what happened to characters like Romana, Leela, K9 Mark 1 and 2, and Susan (the Doctor's Granddaughter). It could also provide opportunity for their return to the main show.
They could also create a UNIT spin off perhaps with the 14th appearing as the Scientific Advisor. Kate Stewart offered Donna to come work for her, so it would make sense that the 14th would come as well. I expect the 14th Doctor to return anyhow because the bi-generation thing. This could be like a modern version of the 3rd Doctor's Seasons (my personal favorite era of Doctor Who), following the adventures of UNIT as they protect the world from alien and/or unnatural threats with the Doctor to guide them. River Song is a great and popular character who could have her own series in which she occasionally has adventures with the Doctors. A Master/Missy could also work. Missy said she had many adventures without the Doctor and is kind of less evil than some of her of her other regenerations. I think it could be an interesting contrast to Doctor Who.

Yea those are great. I personally think doing spin offs with the doctor as the lead should be limited to those you said, the doctors that didnt get much time to shine. As much as i love all the doctors I think it would be super odd making one of the 11th doctor for example.
