Thanks so much for watching! I hope you found this video on Social Media for Authors helpful. If you’re planning to write a children’s book, let me know! I can’t wait to cheer you on!
Eevi, thank you so much for these videos. I'm just starting the social media series, and this is really helpful. I love your videos because I always end them feeling like I can do what I thought I couldn't. Much gratitude 🙏 and many blessings 😊💜
Hi Eevi, SUCH great info. I visited a children’s library today to set up a date to read there. (So excited to see my book was added to the library system.) I discovered a former student of mine working there & she is considering writing a children’s picture book as her senior thesis next year. She was an outstanding writer back in 4th grade. I promised to send her a link to all your information, as I wish I had known about you BEFORE I wrote my book🤣
I'm so happy to hear your book has been added! That's so wonderful! Have so much fun at your reading! And thank you so much for sharing my resources with your former student! This means so much to me!
Another author suggested your videos and I'm so grateful! Thank you for all your help. I have a profile photo question. I'm working on publishing a picture book about a cat, my cat actually. Right now, I have a beautiful photo of my cat as the profile photo, is this something you think I should keep or change to a photo of me? I was also thinking of having a photo of me holding my cat, it's just that he's not really into being held so that will take some work, LOL! TIA!
I'm so glad to hear a fellow author suggested my video to you. RE your question, I feel this would very much depend on the name you gave your social media account. If it carries your name, it would be best to have a profile photo that shows you, the author. Happy upcoming holidays!
Thanks, Eevi. Yeah, I have a couple Linktrees linked among each other or to websites. Treating a Linktree like a landing page is another good idea of yours. I also like the open source Singlelink, but Everlinks is my favorite because even in the free version a little image can be integrated in each post.
Hi Eevi, thank you so much for another amazing video. I added featured images to my FB page but under photos, ALL of my photos show up. I don't know how to change it so that only the featured images show. Any advice?
You're so welcome, Tasneem. I'm so excited to see that you already took action. I went ahead and made a quick video for you right here, so you can see how to change your featured images: www.loom.com/share/8e5cff543ead46689566569615e8780d Good luck!
Hi Eevi! What if I wanna promote my book (actually, series of children's books) rather than me as the author? Can I use the name of my hero in the social, profile image, etc? Has any of your students tried this approach? If yes, was it successful?
Hi Ana! I actually used to do that. However, doing so really gets tricky if you should decide to expand later on, writing books with/ about different and new characters.

@@EeviJones oh wow that is so kind of you! thank you so much. :D
Couldn't agree more .. is overwhelming but necessary for a first time author and how did you come up with your brand colours?
Hi Ishara, I chose my colors based on what I wanted my readers to feel like - happy and motivated.

@@EeviJones thank you Eevi! I’ve already published 2 books, and I want a BIG series 😄
Instagram now allows 5 links.
