This is not a relief for a poor guy, above 25 and below 30 lacs is in no way useful for the poor, try to get a car below 15 lac, then that car could be considered as a car for the less rich because poor people don't have lacs to buy a car instead their first priority would be to get a house of one's own and forget about the sword hanging on you every 30 days. I know that any cheaper than the price you mentioned would be totally a piece of junk which you can't even get rid of after driving it for a couple of months, for this car the real race would start when we're able to make it in Pakistan in the same condition.

I heard that the price of new batteries is about 1600dollars or roughly 350000PKR. This means that if the battery needs replacement after 8 years then per month battery cost will be 3645PKR/month. People should also need to consider this cost. Even though the price to charge the car will be low but this 3645PKR per month cost will be anyways needed. and who know after 8 years price of batteries becomes even higher than 350000lakh or company stops producing the batteries or even a new technology comes.

The problem with the electric car manufactures is that they keep on emphasizing low price to charge the batteries but no one considers that these batteries in electric car will also need to be replaced at sometime and their replacement cost will be an extra burden on consumer. and who knows that batteries last for 8 years in reality. They may even become faulty after 3-4 years while company only gives warranty of 4 years. Moreover, battery technology is changing so rapidly that after few years current battery technology may become outdated. Company may stop producing this kind of batteries and your car is then grounded. Even from environmental point of view, electric cars are not zero Carbon emission cars. Huge amount of CO2 is released while manufacturing these cars and especially when manufacturing these batteries. I agree that common people in Pakistan do not care about CO2 emission but for them car running cost is important and battery replacement cost is a major part in car running cost. At the end of day electric car will cost more or less same as gasoline car if we include this battery replacement cost. Moreover, for many people in Pakistan owning car is also like an asset and nobody wants their assets to drastically reduce their price in few years. Unfortunately with electric cars that is the case. Electric car technology is changing so fast that in few years time current technology will be obsolete.
