Hey Romaine, I beg to differ Christmas is not just for children. As adults we can always recreate what we had as a child at Christmas time, decorate your home, play Christmas caroles, host Christmas dinner or create your own traditions with your immediate family. Merry Christmas to you and your family when it comes.
Christmas is for everyone especially Christians
I agree with you but i believe he is referring to the excitement of christmas is not the same its very stressful because we are now adults and expected to spend money plus host party as a child all you do is wait to open gifts enjoy your friends and family. It gets very depressing when christmas comes for many people due to loss of family members such as parents, siblings etc.
@colleenwilliamshenry7422 which is why I " beg to differ" I am on my 50s with grown children plus I lead a team of 30 staff members and Christmas is the most exciting time for me I look forward to the festivities, the lights the glitz the glamor etc. It is not stressful for me because I don't make it about the commercial aspects of it. Christmas is how you choose to celebrate or entertain

Hi Romaine and Liz, this may, or will most likely come across as simplistic. However, without been too detailed, I want you both to know how much your Christmas Special lifted up my spirit. Living in North America can be very difficult mentally at this time of the year . Although, I will be flying to Florida to spend the holidays with friends. Christmas is by all means my favorite holiday, in addition, my birthday is three days after Christmas day, but paradoxically it also brings a tremendous amount of sadness and depression for me. This year in particular I am going to force myself to be joyous and just give God thanks for ALL my blessings, especially that so many people are suffering under different circumstances in the world today. You guys are indeed a fresh breath of air. You both come from humble beginnings, and through hard work, and a great perspective, you are providing a great life and future for your two girls. I truly love the humility you exude, and it's so genuine. It's also so evident that you keep God in the midst of your life decisions. I wish for you and the girls continued blessings and success in 2024. By the way the fence is absolutely tastefully done. I love you guys!! Have a wonderful holiday season.

Back in the day Romain and Liz we we didn’t get gifts wrapped in gift paper or a gift bag…but we used to get something😂whether it’s a new shoes,clothes or to even crème our hair 😂cause a lot of things that wasn’t done all yr round used to be done Christmas time 🙏🙏A village grow me so I look forward to getting foreign things 😂sweets etc …grandmarket!!!How can I forget that 😂best times …omg …humble beginnings 🙏🙏And yes Liz a church me grow so have to get a new dress for Christmas Sunday 🙏

Growing up in the country (St. Ann) I wasn't privilege to receive gifts, but I looked forward to going to grand Market in Spauldings or Christina. Especially going home from grand market, we would walk and talk with our friends...i really enjoyed those days.😊

The virgos and the virgo nation
We didn’t get gifts when we were young, but we surely got vegetable with our dinner around that time, sorrel and at least 1 new suit to go to Christmas fair. Plus when my mom go shopping, we carry the bags, so we got all the silver(change) so we had extra money at that time along with our savings. Our childhood was fun
Growing up whats stands out for me was the festivities at our house at Christmas times. we use to have music playing,lots of food,cakes and liquor friend and family coming over,playing domino's and just the vybzs. I enjoy Christmas more back then than now although we didnt have any gift given like now but it was more festive and fun

I use to felt the season but as i get older i becomes more wiser the best thing for me Christmas is really the songs for me its a time for family and frens but my mom and dad are all gone so it has never been the same at all

I never use to get gifts, but I get two different meats, nuff sorrel, cake, and one whole soda for myself. But on a whole we use to enjoy Christmas with or without a 🌳.

A gift that stands out of me is when I was maybe 6 years old my parents bought me a black doll that was about my height. I've always remembered his. And then my older brother at some point lit its eyes on fire. I was so vexed. Why did he do it? He was being rude! Anyhow, this is the only gift I remembered as a child although I received at least one every Christmas- this one stands out.
