I was at the NRVTA two years ago. I am one of the few female certified techs. I am the only female certified tech in Indiana. This past year I went to RVTI for my continuing Ed. NRVTA is so much better for independent mobile techs.
When I first go in to a service call I carry my multimeter and a pencil box of tools. If I need more tools I can always run out to my Van.

Very thorough and insightful video covering all aspects of the class any potential student would want to know. I’ll probably do the home study course first then do the onsite course as I really want to be able to diagnose and fix problems that pop up. However if I do need a tech I’ll be sure they are NRVTA certified.

I attended the basic course then ordered the next course to watch at home. I have nine years of college but found the instructors at NRVTA the absolute best. They were all well trained and knew how to present information in a clear and concise manner. If I had known about this training when I was 50 or even 60 I would have continued the classes. Now in my 80s I can figure out most of what I need for my own camper trailer. The initial class helped change my thought process so I do not need to take my camper into a dealer that hires people with minimal training. Besides, I am camping instead of leaving my camper at the dealer for months waiting for service.

I couldn’t agree more. After day 1 at the NRVTA, I could feel the knowledge in the room. Then after 9 weeks, it was clear that the NRVTA is crafted of very knowledgeable and experienced techs to help guide new techs on the journey to success.

It’s a great place to learn! And as for Steve, yup, it’s a known issue. That’s what we get when we put a camera in front of his face and the stress of filming comes on. I suggest turning on closed captioning and read along and changing the playback speed on UA-cam. You can speed any video up or slow it down to better understand what is being said. You can turn both of these options on by finding the gear icon on UA-cam. ~ Erika
