    I told you guys years ago to make them out of Alum, I have been building the same tool out of Alum for about 8 years.

      Hey, thanks for your comment. I was wondering if we got our inspiration from a previous comment and just for fun searched for yours, but couldn’t find it. Did you use a different UA-cam handle at that time? Did you send it by eMail?

      @@3ftDeepChannel I don't think I used a different handle, I likely deleted it; a while ago as I went through a bunch of the you tube channels I left comments on and deleted most of my comments. What spurred that on is when I commented on your catch can installation video that you should not use red loctite on the bolts that connect to the brass inserts as it holds to hard and it would likely rip the inserts out when you try and undo the fasteners. You replied with a snarky reply so I got butt hurt and deleted my comments from your videos. I was going to do a make one out of aluminum video too so I wanted the fame and glory of being the alum jam removal tool inventor

      Thanks for the kind words and my apologies for being snarky with my reply to one of your older comments regarding using red Loctite. We definitely didn't come up with the tool; one of our friends had been using something like it for years. We just wanted to show what we came up with over the years so that others can benefit from our experience. Ride safe!

      Would you consider making one for me? I’m happy to pay you and it will need to be posted to Australia

      @@liambarlow656 It would not even be slightly worth it, OZ is full of guys with sheds that could make one in a blink.

    I know this is off topic but do you think catch cans are really needed on supercharged sea doo's. ? PWC magazine makes a big deal out of them.

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      Absolutely. We'll likely be making a video on this topic soon, where we discuss the importance of the catch can - especially when overfilling the engine with oil.

    Hi guys, how much bearing grease do you use for the jet pump bearing cover? Do you pack it full? Thanks!

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      That’s a good question. The old service manual used to say to pack the pump cover full, but the new ones (that we’ve read) say only to pack the pump section (i.e. not the cover). As it doesn’t seem to flow during use, we’ve been following the new instructions without any issues. Safe riding.

      @@3ftDeepChannel Interesting, since I found most of the grease in the cone when I opened it up. Thanks for the suggestion.

      Yes, they're still putting it in there at the factory.

      @@3ftDeepChannel One more question, I noticed you use different type of Locktite for different bolts for pump rebuild. How important is it or can I use the same Locktite for all bolts? If so, which one?

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому +1

      The pump requires a number of different Loctite products, and we endeavor to tell our viewers the exact one the service manual states (for that model). We can’t confirm what’s required for all models, but we’ve noticed that for the screws/bolts used in the pump it appears they’ve moved away from using red Loctite (very strong) on some screws and now seem to only use blue Loctite (easier to remove). So, unless you’re screwing on a part that is never/rarely expected to come apart (normally in the engine) our rule of thumb is to use blue Loctite. Good luck.

    Hey there,
    Do you sell these tools?

    • @3ftDeepChannel

      Sorry, no. We just show how to make them. There are a few people out there making and selling something very similar, but we can’t vouch for their quality or effectiveness. Good luck.
