Sorry to hear this, Tomislav. Please consider, if possible, filming the move and the development of the new workshop. We would love to be part of your journey. Keep us posted on the tool availability, too. All the best to you and your family.
Tomislav, you are a born winner and good man and will come above this set back as well. A little more lemonade will sure help. Stay well and continue with your success.
Tomislav, trust me when I say always put your family and life ahead of anything else, as far as the turning goes I’d be fairly sure most of your viewers are fellow turners or want to get into turning so we will be always here when your ready to get back to posting your work on here, your work is fab and the videos very informative so I for one will definitely be here when you get the new shop ect sorted out. Wishing you and yours the very best.
Thank you sooo much sir, I really appriciate that
Tomislav, I want to wish you all the best with the move and I think you can be sure we are going nowhere. We love what you do and and can't wait to be with you in the future. Good Luck
Mike
Mike, thank you sooo much
@@mikeevans373 will be ordering chisels in future if you ship to new Hampshire 👍
I’ll be 83 in October. I’ll wait as long as I can 😊. I definitely want to buy your signature tools and I’ll cheerfully pay up front for shipping. My tools are to be left to turners and teachers of turning so nothing will be wasted when I’m gone.
Thank you soo much
We’re with you Tomislav! Take the time you need to make your path the best it can be.
Thank you sir
Tomasic, I am sorry that you are having unexpected struggles. I enjoy watching you and learn from you. And so you offer gifts to those who follow you. I will still be here when you return.
Tomislav best of luck with the move hope all goes smoothly, your contribution to woodturning has been excellent more than you know, so everyone will be waiting for your next chapter,
And to anyone else reading this Tomislav has a stunning back catalogue of videos so scroll back and take a look it all helps him out,
Kind regards From Will 👍🙂
Best of luck with the new shop Tomislav.
Looking forward to buying my new scraper 🤗
If you can move as smoothly through this transition as you do through wood, then everything will be just fine. All the best to you and your family. Keep on juicing those lemons.
All the best for your future, putting family first is always the answer & the Big Wood Turner in the sky will always provide & protect, your the best👊ty
Cool! You've got several irons in the fire, and you need to strike them while they are hot! Enough cliches... My heart goes out to you, your helpful wife, and your future ventures, Tom.
Life is full of lemons. Luckily I like lemons. Best of luck to you in your move!
I wish you every success for your project Tomy you are a beautiful person full of talent I look forward to being able to acquire one of your tools good luck 👍
Someone once told me, "With change comes opportunity." So I hope that what you've learned up to now can be used to make a better place for you and your family.
I like that saying, thank you very much
A lot would have had a rant about not being able to do the necessary repairs. You have shown your true colors by saying “it happened, we deal with it”. I have a great deal of respect for you, and this proves me right. Best of luck in the new shop. Hopefully you can make any improvements you want in it
Thank you sir 😀
Good luck with everything that is going on in your life. Take care, my friend.
Life is full of lemons, as long as you and your family are healthy, you can grow and get better. I am 66 years old and had a lot of lemons, but I am still here and still learning from your great video channel, good luck with the move and keep the videos coming.
Thank You very much, it means a lot to me
Congratulations on your success! It is well deserved.
I am pleased for you Tomis, you are moving on with your life and also becoming more successful, when you read all the comments just on this post alone it’s testimony to what a wonderful teacher you are. You have taught so many of us the intricacies of Woodturning and we are mostly able to turn to a good level. I wish you well in your new endeavours.
Tomislav, I can only echo everything that's been said already. Wishing you the very best Sir and thank you for everything you have given to the worldwide woodturning community.
Tomislav, As others have said best wishes for you and your family on your new adventure. At 72 I'm just becoming a fair turner, your videos are very inspiring, I love your approach, your honesty and humility. I will order one of your new refiners and other tools as they become available. All the best.
Unexpected change? Maybe, but look up to the possibilities and view the new horizons with faith that the Good Lord has more and better in store fr you and your family. Work diligently to set your goals and then work toward bringing new adventure online. I ask God to bless you and yours, you're sincere and care about others. We always learn something when viewing one of your UA-cam vignets.
Thank you,
Tomislav, wish the best for your family and the move. You asked for patience and that is easy to do. Really like your videos and look forward to using one of your scrapers. 👍
G’day tommi, I wish you and your family all the best with the upcoming move and new shop and web page.
I’d like to think that your friends and UA-cam community are not going away. We will always be waiting patiently for your new videos and work.
Your tools are looking good.
Tomislav, hope everything goes smoothly and quickly for you and turns out better than you hoped. When you get a chance, I’d like to get on the list to get a “Tomašić signature Refiner”. I would also be interested in the gouge you grind and sign that you mentioned. I look forward to seeing more great turning videos when you get your new shop up and running, but you could also put up some progress update videos in the meantime. Again, best of luck with all of your endeavors. Cheers, Tom
Good luck in your new adventure. Looking forward to seeing your new digs!!
I hope you can see from the comments you have received just how much you, your work and your videos mean to us woodturners; from novices like me to people with years of experience. I have learned a lot from your videos and appreciate all the work and time you take to put them together. You are both and excellent woodturner and an excellent reacher. Go forward and do what you need to do to get your new shop up and running. I'm sure all your followers will be patient: really good things are worth waiting for. I hope there will be a way for us in the USA to purchase your tools. Once there is, I will purchase a refiner and a burnisher.
Believe me; we are behind you 100% on your decisions that are best for you and your family. When we are settled in on your next location, we will be here. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to purchase one of your signature tools!
Tomislov, I am sorry to hear of your troubles. I am a transplanted Canadian living in the US, love your videos, and you are an awesome turner. We will be here for you when you return, i can’t wait to buy your tools. They look very well made.
Hang in there brother, will see you on the other side
Tomaslav, all the best for your future path and development of your new workshop. We will continue to follow your progress, I have learnt a lot from your videos so thank you.
Many of us watching have had to move workspaces. The longer we've been in one spot, the more toys we've accumulated. While it's a giant pain, there's a chance for better organization at least, and possibly culling some the toys we've never actually used. (And why do these things have to happen in the hottest days?)
Hoping your new shop is better. Keep us informed. You have fans at all levels of proficiency, and I have no doubt that the hard worker we see on your channel will attack the move with careful effort and before we know it, we'll be treated to more top shelf turning in no time.
Best,
Greg
Like spring flowers, you will all emerge stronger and better than ever with the winter a distant memory.
You do whatever you need to do for you and your family. We'll be right here waiting and looking forward to your continuing adventure!
Change is the only constant in life. You have a good soul and you will find yourself in a better situation soon. Stay positive.
Praying for your family, when i can afford to support your tool sales i most definately will....they look amazing!!!
As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans". It sounds like you will be much better situated in you new workshop.
Give God the glory
Tomislav I have been watching and learning from your videos for the past couple of years. One of the extra bits i get from your videos, beyond beautiful projects and great instruction is insight into who you are. I appreciate so much how you speak of your family, your mentor, Richard Raffan, your country. It is obvious to me that you are a good person. If i lived close enough I would be helping you move your shop. Instead ill be looking into how to order a Refiner...best to you and yours, I'll look forward to seeing the new shop!
Take all the time you need and can. Hope this quick pivot goes as smoothly as possible and keep your chin up. This too shall pass. Can't wait to order that gorgeous scraper! But I definitely can while you set up the new shop 😊
I'm sorry you are having an upheaval, and I really hope it ends up better for you. You work so hard and do so well. I'm looking forward to seeing the tools up for sale and hope they are in my price bracket because the design is fantastic. I'm a big fan of yours so I'll be sticking around.
Good luck, Tomi! Can't wait to see the new shop. I'm sure everything will be grand. I'd love to see build-out videos, and your thoughts on the design and layout.
Good luck with your improvements and we will still be here when you are sorted out.
Best Wishes, Brendan.
The best of luck my friend.
All the best mate, things will work out. Often things happen for the best 👍
The look great!!!
Good luck on the move. Looking forward to seeing get back setup.
You will do well. Your audience is full of people with similar life stories, a strong work ethic and strong families. That’s the secret sauce. 😉 I really appreciate your skill and teaching. Looking forward to this next chapter with you and your family. God bless you my friend!
It just occurred to me as I was watching this video that it might be very interesting for your viewers to see how you design and layout a new shop from scratch just thought
Congratulations on moving forward I think providing your personal grind is an excellent idea
Good luck on the move. I've always said that every three moves are equivalent to a fire based on what you lose or can't find.
Hope everything goes well for you both, looking forward to your new adventure in life and more turning
Here in the USA we love you and your videos. We wish you all the best and am very sure that you and your family will continue to grow and prosper. I love your attitude and your ability to teach me and other turners techniques that you are so gracefully able to communicate to us. Thank you ,
Thanks for the update Tomislav. You will do great. I think you should develop and market the dust collection apparatus just behind your headstock. It is brilliant! You could manufacture these and sell them with your current lineup. Thank you for posting, and good luck with your future endeavors.
Don’t worry about us lot just get yourself and family sorted, good luck
All the best to you and prayers for you and your family as you make this change. Tomislav, you are one of the best wood turning teachers on UA-cam and it is great to see the sponsorship and opportunities that have been coming to you and your ability to take advantage of those opportunities. Sometimes life design changes are put there to keep us level-headed. You have the right attitude and it's really neat seeing this line of tools you have coming out. Will definitely be watching for that. All the best to you and your family
Mark, sir you really didn't have to send any money, but I really appriciate that, thank you for your support all this time
@@tomislavtomasicwoodturning It was my pleasure Tomislav. The videos you put out are a wealth of technique and technical detail that has made me a better turner.
@@MarklTucson soo glad to hear that ☺️
Thank you
I wish you well. All the best for you and your family. That scraper is perfect. Well done!
Good luck on your new adventure. I'm sure we are all willing to wait according to your timeline. Hope your tools will be available in U.S.A.
Good luck with the move, Tomislav. I really appreciate your videos and your attitude to life!
I am so sorry for all these problems - maybe it will turn out for the best. keep us all informed and I hope the change goes really well. Phil
Tomislav you will get through this and I'm sure continue to make great utubes etc. Many times over the last year you have made a utube on the very subject my friend and I at our Men in Sheds group have been discussing. So helpful. You will also find many things you thought you had lost when you move LOL.
Wish you luck. You have a great attitude,
Hello Tomislav, i only wish you and your Family the best for the futur and much sucess with the Tools. When life give you lemons then make lemonade is a very good wisdom. Good luck !
Thank you soo much
Good luck mate. Onward and Upward, see you in the future 👍
Indeed, thank you very much
Thanks Tomislav, I'm looking forward to seeing your new shop and content. I have been subscribed for some time and always enjoy seeing your work, your techniques and your insights. I would like to order some of your tools as soon as they are available. Cheers and good luck to you and your family as your journey continues.
Know what your going through. We are moving to a retirement community and I have spent 4 months emptying my basement shop. I enjoy you videos and look forward to ordering the refiner, it looks great. Bill
Best of luck with the move and the tool sales . The scraper looks really good .
As long as you and your family are safe and healthy, that is all that matters. I live by the rule, "Family First". So glad to hear that you are going to continue. I would miss your great and informative videos if you have to stop. Thank you so much and prayers are with you as you go through this evolution. Looking forward to watching and learning from you in the years to come. I look forward to seeing the full line of Tomasic woodturning tools too.
Good luck with the move! I can wait for the Refiner whenever you can offer it! Keep on inspiring us to be creative and try new things!
One year from now you will still be walking, talking and breathing. And most likely better off. I would enjoy your doing an "on the other side of change" video one year from now. Hoping you have friends there to help with the move.
The new tools look great. I can’t wait to get my hands on one. Good luck with the move.
Your attitude will take you through this journey.
Prayers for you and your family while you go through this change.
I would love to have some of your tools. I watch a lot of turning and you are amazing. Keep your head up and charge on. Good luck
If you want to begin woodturning actually you can do it with a limited set of tools, what matters is your skill, how you are able to use them. With a decent small or medium size lathe, a chuck (but is possible to turn without it, some pofessional turners like Melvyn Firmager and Lyle Jamieson don't use it), A detail gouge, a bowl gouge, a skew chisel and a couple of scrapers is possiblle to turn almost everything but deep hollow forms up to medium size pieces, even the roughing gouge is not strictly necessary as there are ways to rough pieces with the grain paralel to the rotation axis both with the skew and the bowl gouge.
An electric chain saw is all you need to prepare the wood for the lathe, so to start is not cheap, but you don't have to spend many thousands of euros/pounds/dollars to start, have fun and produce amazing pieces, even gallery level ones if your skill and aesthetic taste are well developed.
Then as your skill gets better you can buy more tools, like an hollowing tool or more gouges and scrapers, you can even buy a big heavy lathe that allows you to turn heavy pieces and large pieces, but such pieces should anyway be avoided if the turner is not very experenced, they can be really dangerous if something goes wrong.
And surely a big band saw can be really useful, the little and cheap hobby ones can not deal with roughing wood for turning purpouses, but all those things may eventually come later, a pretty base set is enough as the turner's skill and knowledge matters more then the tools array at his disposal.
@@andreachinaglia5804 I have been turning for about 30 years off and on. I just started to turn on a regular basis about the last 6 months. Never done to many bowls until lately but I have turned a lot of coffee table legs I have a very nice shop. Thank you for the positive thoughts
I look forward to seeing you in the new workshop, I hope you take us along on the journey with a video of the build and the move. At least its summer.😂
Life kicks us in the guts ,but you are young and talented and smart enough to kick back , we love your vids and will wait ...regards from Australia

The best of luck my friend and God Bless.
Tomislav, sorry to hear this but you have a positive attitude and I am sure you will sort it out and be better than what you have. Your family and health is first priority . As Many have said do what you have to do and your followers will be here when you are ready to get back to full swing. Hope the tools go well for you as well as they look good. Good luck to you and your family lookforward to your future videos when ready dont stress . Regards
Ma samo Vam je nebo granicaa...Uz Vas smo za sve❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hvala ti puno ☺️
We all just waiting and looking forward to the next projects. Just take the time you and your family need. As we say in Belgium, Rome and Paris are not build in 1 day!
Best of continued blessings and enjoy the process. I appreciate you very much.
Life IS change! It sounds like you and your wife have a great relationship and that support means the world. Best of luck to you on the move and whatever life throws at you. Keep making lemonade!
Best of luck in your to u and you family Can’t wait for your tools to come out
All will work out for you! When I started my furniture restoration business, I moved 3 times. Each move was an improvement in production and profit. I too, had to prepare each building for each move and each move took all of our cash reserves. Even though the future was unknown, it all turned out well. I'm sure you will do well because you have far more talent than I do!
Thank you Richard soo much, can't imagine moving 3 times but again I never thought I'll have to leave this shop... Thank you for inspiring words
I will follow continue to follow you. Best of luck in your move.
Thank you
All the best Tomislav I look forward to seeing you again soon.
All the best from Australia, take your time, family first, your turning is excellent, your teaching even better!
Wish you all the best with your move Tomasic Tomislav, Keep up your good work.... and by the way you are a very good teacher on youtube. ;-)
Best wishes hope your plan comes to fruition sometimes there is a reason things go differently
Hi Tomislav - I hope the move to a new shop goes well for you. I know it can be very disruptive as I moved 5 years ago to be closer to family and set up for retirement. I had to build a new shed for my wood turning and here I am still establishing the workshop. I hope you get more space in the new shop and more opportunities to grow your you tube channel and business.
Life has its ups & downs but the downs always teach us how to bounce back up. My mother always told me to not worry about what you can't control.
I'm sure it's not the interruption you and your family wanted but I hope you take a few deep breaths now and then and find that a new setup might help you reorganize and be more productive. I look forward to your progress and your next projects.
Thank you very much 🤗 we often go by this saying that you mum told you....love it... Thank you
Keep your positive outlook going, and good luck on moving your workshop. Looking forward to the videos from the new place. Cheers 😊
Thank you 🤗
So glad you are working with Crown.
I wish you all the very best of luck and success with your move. I for one will be here when you have everything set up and ready to go again. 👍🇬🇧
Thank you very much
Good luck with the move.
You have come so far pretty quickly. The trend is your friend. I know it will all work out. Best wishes, partner.
Video your journey. I am sure your followers would enjoy seeing what is going on.
I'll do my best 😀
Take care of yourself and family first. YT can wait. A Japanese methodology called 5S might help you in your transition. Thanks for your inspiration and guidance in my wood turning journey.
Congratulations, it sounds like a win/win for you, I have learned so much from watching your videos. not a lot of nonsense just good stuff. I love it that you tell us why you do things too, that is really helpful. I have been watching for about a year, I would have subscribed sooner but honestly I watch most of your videos on the TV and I can't comment or subscribe to anything doing it that way, not your problem I just need to remember when I get on my lap top to add those channels that are important to me. I wish you the very best as you move forward your are in our prayers. I am not going anywhere, do what you need to do. I can use the time to look back and watch some of the older videos I nave not watched yet or watch again to see what I missed the first time.
Brother I'm with you. You live in the same world as I. Love your lessons
