Oh my, I know his story, I know what he was put through to become the 'villain' yet it still breaks my heart. In such a short time, the fun-loving, loyal guy was wrenched apart and twisted into an emotionless killing machine, yet there were still times his true feelings tried to break free. And you've captured that so well in this video. Adding that brief glimpse of Bucky before he left for the front was a genius move. I really wish TFATWS gave us a therapy sort of scene with Sam and Bucky. What's-her-face therapist in the show was just horrible. Her whipping out the journal might have seemed funny just cause of the way Bucky commented on it, but I'm sure it was actually quite a big trigger for him because of the one Hydra used. Even if the show doesn't openly say it, we all know the poor guy's got PTSD. He deserves love and happiness and a hug from Sam that will probably never happen. :(

Did you guys know that in MCU 'Civil War Prelude' comics, Bucky destroys the chair??
After the events of 'CA:TWS', Bucky returns to the bank after saving Steve and he destroys the torture chair. Because he started getting his memories back and he has autonomy. They couldn't control him and his then "handler" is dead.
This would have been a powerful moment because if you really think about it, Bucky mostly fought for and protected others as a soldier.
But it was the one time where he fought for himself, implying that they'll never hurt him physically or mentally again.
I get why they excluded it from CATWS because they wanted to leave WS's fate to ambiguity and CW literally begins with his torture.
Still they should have included that scene in a flashback scene in 'TFATWS' at least.
That scene is canon but it's not there in the films. 😤😤 It is unfair to Bucky and Sebastian because it was opportunity for him to shine. I feel like MCU gives too much importance to overrated characters and too less to underrated.
Anyway, if they're planning to bring Bucky back, they better do him right.
Oh, that's so cool! They really should have incuded that scene, it would have been such a powerful moment to see for sure! I really wish we'll be able to see all that in a Winter Soldier prequel movie one day! ❤️
