I own the A-i 7100. Picked it up from Costco for 999. I needed the 240 30amp to interlock to my home's panel. This thjng powers my home ac (with soft start) without any issues. Even on low idle. Love it!
A very good overlook of these Generators. I got a factory refurbished A iPower GXS7100 iRC from eBay for 899 with a 2-year warranty. Your video helped me pick this model. I needed the L14-30R 240-volt receptacle because my house was already set up for this receptacle. Thank you for your informative generator videos!
Great quick review on the dual fuel lineup. So many choices! It’s still amazing how many new units continue to come out every few months! For anyone looking to buy, it’s tempting to want to wait and see what’s coming next. I’m tempted to upgrade myself, but there’s always a new and improved product every time I watch you videos!
I purchased the AiPower 3800 dual fuel unit last summer from Costco. The unit worked fine in the summer. It usually took three lulls to start. When it got cold here in the Western Canadian fall the unit took 10-20 pulls to start if at all. I talked to the AIPower service techs in California and they admitted their testing and setups were for a lot warmer situations above freezing. At least they were honest about the situation. I took the unit back to the Costco store along with an explanation of the starting issue. I just recently purchased the dual fuel Firman 4000 and will set it up this weekend. Fingers crossed. I really appreciate your channel.
Can we see the predator 5000 versus the new champion 5500 dual fuel? I know it’s not in this video but I like a little more watts than I think the predator will handle
I have the Champion 4500 and my choice was decided partly on the Champion name (even though I know they are built in China) . Champion has a dealer presence in the USA and that gives me confidence that if I buy their product I can get parts and service. Genmax offers amazing features like 240/120 which I would love to have but to dealer or service presence in the US that i am aware of. it will be a few years before we see if Genmax has stood the test of time. As for my Champion, i needed it for only one week long stretch but it performed great. i only use propane so I dont have to worry about old gas clogging the carb. I was ultra careful on the break in process, with the first run only 15 minutes before an oil change , and i got a magnetic dipstick to try to catch ALL metal particles that break loose while the genny is running
Definitely a great video as always I know when I first seen the predator 5000 I think it’s really good that they finally got into the dual fuel. I always felt like the 3500 should’ve been double fuel. I’ve had my 3500 for two years now just basic maintenance starts every time, thanks for the video
@@GeneratorReviews I as well have the first. The newer Rev. 01 has the battery charging ports up front. The NOCO battery charger/tender/maintainer is incredible. Gavin that AiPower GSX7100iRD is so good. Enjoy the weekend, Mike ienuso. Be well.
My Onan 6000w on board generator is shot so I need a good replacement. Probably that Genmax 7250 as it has 50 amp. Hopefully I have enough room to store it! I doubt we need that much, so one of the smaller 6000 might do as well. I doubt we'll spend much time off hook ups but need something to get us by.
What do you recommend for a 120v manual transfer switch? I'm not seeing many options. I have a gas furnace and just need to have it and my fridge and maybe a couple lights on it. The solar kits is all I've seen that offer a 120v kit
Here in Canada, the Costco have the Firman WO3242, the A-IPower 3800 and the Champion 4500. Would you be able to do a comparison on them and provide your opinion on which one is the best? I'm seriously thinking of the Champion as it provides the most power and will fit under my tonneau cover, but your opinion could sway me into a different direction. Love the channel by the way!!!!
Hi Gavin. Love your vids! I have a Delta Pro. What's the best way to charge via dual fuel generator? One of these, or should I just stick with the EcoFlow DFSG?
in future videos can you do a review on top 10? it’s overwhelming on what you can buy. I want the most wattage, longest run time. mostly for home use, portable to plug items in.. and to power a ecoflow or even run a cpap machine - any insight would be helpful
Always great reviews on generators, and very informative. I was wondering if you were going to review the AIVOLT 8000 Watts Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator? It has a 30 amp and 50 amp inlet, very interested in your thoughts on this.
Hi Gavin. Im getting the genmax 9000 when it gets a fefresh. Or the genmax 10500 tri with the recent refresh updates. Going w either of these for home first. Then I want to get one of the smaller gens so I can carry in my truck when needed; definately dual fuel, and only need single leg 120 V. Lile the preditor 5000 in this spec for the upddates. Maybe by that time something better spec may come along.
Are Gavin's reviews trustworthy? Yes they are. We got the iq3500 based on this channel and it is indeed just as described here (stupidly quiet.) It's a bit of lug, but it has push button start so anyone can fire it up and we have never had a complaint from running it. Gavin I am so sad you don't have more views, would you consider adding more things or content like, battery reviews, or solar systems. Not to mention the folding tables, chairs, portable firepits, or camp stoves.

your channel is the reason i went out and purchased the predator 5000 sir
you have a very informative channel please keep up the outstanding work 💯💯💯

I would like to see the Champion 4500 vs the Predators 5000.

New 5000 preditor vs champion 4500 please. Mainly which on is quieter. Power output is a bonus. Thanks
I watch all your videos and I feel guilty that I'm not buying a new generator from you. When the time comes, I will.
I hope you do Tom! 👍🏾
Tom, I have bought a bunch from Gavin. You will not be disappointed! He goes above and beyond for you.
How does one purchase from Gavin?

Now I can get into the testing, and seeing which one puts out the rated output power.
Hi.
Is your AiPower 7100 the Revision 00 model
or the Rev. 01 with the plug that lets you charge the battery from the front panel?
I think I have the first model because I got this one the same week it came out

Yes, it’s always nice to have a very few efficient back up and I just feel like the generator opens up the opportunity.

Hi Gavin. Love your vids! I have a Delta Pro. What's the best way to charge via dual fuel generator? One of these, or should I just stick with the EcoFlow DFSG?
If you can get the smart generator, it works seamlessly with the Delta pro that would be my first option.
Gavin, Are the 50 amp gen inlet recepticles 50 amp per 120 v leg or 25 amp per 120v leg?
Yes that’s correct ✅
What is correct?
Hi Gavin, question is the 50 amp inlet receptical rated tor 25 amps or 50 amps per leg?
id like to see the one s that would be no problem in finding replacement parts without having to mail order them , if thats even possible .

Great review as always. Any thoughts on the Champion 4250 fuel fuel open frame inverter generator?
It's good just not as quiet
Gavin, another outstanding video, fyi I broke - in the engine on my new GenMax 6000 25 Aug 2023, using propane only.

Gav... Do all these have the same engines like how the smaller ones all run ducar engines?
Most of them do have the exact same engine.
Can you talk more about price comparison and over all value considering the features of each. Add your opinions.
Which inverters in the under 4k watts category we’re 240v. Didn’t hear you mention that.
None of them only the genmax
@@GeneratorReviews Just so I’m clear, only the GenMax 6k you mentioned is 240v in your lineup across both categories?
The A ipower is 240 30amp. I have it and it works well. Powers both legs of my home including ac no issues
Gavin how do i buy a generator from u and how used will they be? Im looking to buy like yesterday!

For a 120V version, I choose the WEN.
Which is best?
I like the Genmax
How about the pulsar 7250 inverter
I didn’t have it in available maybe on the next one
Duromax just released a 16000 inverter Generator. For 5k😮😮
