What’s up my G’s back with another video working on my bro’s truck and we went ahead and put a new sound system in it, hopefully this video helped y’all out! Like and comment on what you guys think!! 👍🏼
If you look under the carpet in the rear door take up the door trim pull the carpet back and there is a factory hole with a cap glued over it no drilling required and four 0 gauge wires will fit through it perfect just an easier way with no drilling at all... I only found this cause I took all of my carpet out and these wholes are on both sides at the rear doors of an 08 extended cab LT Silverado 💪🔊🔊 maybe this helps someone without a drill 🤷♂️
Helped me a lot thanks boss
Passenger or driver side?
@@DaCarReviewer138 there should be one on either side mine is ran down the driver side
Thank you so much i was about to run 0 guage and didnt want to mess anything up in my firewall this helped so much
Kinda funny that Im watching this on Christmas Eve too
6:40: Beer in the cup holder... I like your style ;)
That large red Pos wire really should have some wire split loom on it where it contacts the frame rail or body. Also some heater hose split and placed around wireloom secured by zip ties helps a lot for abrasion resistance. Over time that wire vibrates and can wear through insulation causing a short. Always protect wiring for best longevity
Go start a youtube channel to be a smart ass then buddy.
@@iantwaddell2983 I already have one with millions of views buddy
I use welding cable with cable mounts on inside of my frame...welding cable is very hard to rub thru
Did you have to put a interface in there to keep steering controls or does your pioneer double den actually control steering wheel controls. Interface over 100 bucks not sure if I’m gonna put it in mine or not
Yes I had to buy the interface to retain all the steering wheel controls, thanks for watching 🤟🏼
Clean install
Great videos. Helped me a ton thank you!
Good to hear! Thanks for watching! 🤟🏼
Great video brotha!
Question bro, for the ground wire on the amp would it have work If you bolted it down to one of the seat bolts?
Yes bro just clean bolt area with wire wheel from paint so it’ll have good bare metal contact 🤟🏼
@@lalogvlogs4344 i did this and dont seem to have good connection 2 different factory spot ive tried even with cleaned the area. Amp kicks off and on.
Eso es todo mijo!!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Brother!! 📈
Remove the batterie bracket make it easier
Awesome help thanks I had issues with the fire walls n location of amp thanks slot
Glad I could help out, thanks for watching 🤟🏼
The factory radio adapter is a GOOD TIP
Thanks man. Was trying to figure out how I was running the wires back
Thanks for watching and glad it helped out 👍🏼
How did you connect the power wire I know obviously to the battery positive, I did my set up, some reason my battery kept dying I have no short not fuse blown. And it all turns off when the ignition switch turns off. But somehow it was sparking on the battery connection the red rubber piece was melting. I do have a led bar connected to the same spot of the battery terminal and never had a issue until I connect the amplifier.
I have the same truck and battery terminal with the fuse and have it connect on the side coming from the battery terminal after the fuse. It looked like metal to metal spark between the led bar wire and amplifier. Never had that happen in a other vehicle 🤔
The radio is pioneer avh-1500nex correct? And will it come with the conectors to connect to the radio bolting area?
Why do I only have sound out of my subs, and not my door speakers after I did this?
08 Sierra
Thanks for taking time to do this.
Good job,, saved me 200 dollars they were going to charge me for the wiring installation,
Paint the ground or it'll rust Good vid what subs u run
Had some older kenwood subs but we got them swapped out with some kicker cvt 12s now 👍🏼
Pudo Tejano. Dont be drilling in the chassis uni strut wey but ehhh he got it done
Great video. Thanks for posting.
Bro what length rca’s did you use?
I believe they were the 18ft bro
Needed this bro I look up videos for my 07 couldn’t find nothing
hey bro how did u learn how to wire up the system? i have no clue lol i dont know which wires go where
Radio system or amp bro? I learned myself been doing audio since I was 12 yrs old 👍🏼
@@lalogvlogs4344 stereo and amp
Did you have a factory amplifier?
No did not have factory amp
Self taping screws for ground cable no mms
I did all of these exact steps but i went to crank my truck and my amp never came on.
Ey pa what’s the setup what amp and subs you bought I just bought my 2013 Silverado and trying to add a system
My bro now has two kicker 12’s shallow mounts, and a power acoustic 1200w. He’s not into crazy bass like I am lol
Hey
What about if you don’t have the after market harness
On radio?
Lalo good video thank you I followed yours steps but my stereo said amp overload
What if i want to keep the stock stereo, how do i connect the rca and remote cables
Buy a line output converter bro, tap into right rear door speaker for signal it will be a dark blue (+) light blue (-). Then that converter module will have rca output and you will need to find a switched 12v source for remote turn on. I usually tap into the black box under driver’s footwell, hope this helps! Message me on instagram @lalo_g_vlogs for anymore help needed
hi do i need to get all 4 new speakers to have good sounding or just two i’m new to this n need help
You don’t have to get all new speakers just equalize your stereo to where you can hear vocal and low to your liking 👍🏼
I have my remote connected to that blue and white cable but when I turn it up it shuts off. Can you help ?? 2013 GMC Sierra
Does the amp go into protection mode? Red light
Just saw you driving on i-10w lol i was the lifted bby blue f150...... keep up the grind man 👌👌
Appreciate the support bro! 🙏🏼 Clean truck too man! 🔥
No problem bro 👌👌 and thanks she’s dirty
Thanks man!
Is there anything in this video I could also apply to my 08 avalanche? Just looking at stuff before I install my own system. Not a lot about my vehicle on the video
Not bad for an install but Walmart wire is not good it can start to lose its power
Where can I find this box? I can’t find one to fit my 07 GMC Sierra crew cab
idk if youre still looking or not, but skar audio has boxes that fits under the seat
How did you set your gains and crossover’s ?
I use a voltmeter to set my gains 👍🏼
@@lalogvlogs4344 how did you see the clip or distortion?
Where’d you get the sub box
Fantastic thank you for video!
Great Video...Thanks!!!

So my blue and white wire coming out my radio is hooked to my solid blue wire antenna wire so when I run my amp wire should I put it to amp cut on wire it is blue and white. and unhook the power antenna and just run it all thru blue and white amp turn on wire
I don’t know shit about all this I got radio and amp and speaker hooked up tho so all I have to do is figure out these remote wires
The blue solid wire coming from amp needs to get connected off the blue/white wire from the radio harness
I just bought a 2013 Chevy Tahoe LTZ am going to run a 0 gage wire for my Orion HCCA 3000.1 same way as you to two more battery in the rear. I was looking under the Tahoe where you drill the hole. It look like it's plastic, was your plastic or metal?
Mine was a plastic cover 👍🏼 thanks for watching 🤟🏼
I have a 2008 suburban did running the wire in that floor drain plug work for you? I’m running the same wire 0 gauge?
I got a 09 silverado extended cab, what is the speaker size for the rear doors?
Put all you truck info on crutchfield and it should give you all your info for the stock audio system in it
Thanks for this helped out a lot
Dope just subscribed I got the same truck and tryna do the same thing Gracias
Thanks for the support! 👍🏼
Great of you to take the time to help!
damn u made this look easy
Does the red/power wire for the amplifier get connected on the positive side or negative side of the battery ?
Goes on positive side of battery 👍🏼
@@lalogvlogs4344 thx bro
Bro I live on the north side of Canyon Lake and have a 2011 Silverado Extended Cab. I need to start working on the stereo system since I have rebuilt the entire rest of the truck already. I want to use a good aftermarket stereo, good door speakers and 2 Sundown Audio 8's under the rear seat with an amp or two. If I help you how much do you think it'll take to get it all done?
For sure go sundowns I just got some sa 12s and gah lee those things hit super hard!
did you have to run shallow subs?
They were regular subs , the magnet had enough space bro. Probably could have cleared a bigger subwoofer but not real sure. Thanks for watching g 👍🏼
whats subs you got bro ?
Had kenwoods in it bro, put some kicker cvr shallow now. Sounds good 👍🏼
I’m glad a saw your video I saw a car audio forum were they say to run the wire thru that drain plug awesome thank you! I have a 2010 suburban trying to run 0 gauge now I know where
Thanks for watching boss! 🤟🏼Glad to help!
Does your truck have Bose?
It doesn’t bro
@@lalogvlogs4344 mine does I just bought a box for my 15 I got and I’m hoping that I can use it in my truck.
Hey I gotta question on that radio where did you hook up the red wire?
The aftermarket harness came with the red wire attached to it so I connected mine to the aftermarket harness , if yours didn’t come with it you can always grab a volt meter and use a wire that has switched 12v when the key is on. Thanks for watching! You can also message me on instagram so I can also show you a location where you can tap into to connect that red ignition wire! 👍🏼
Ok coo gracia
There’s a little thing under the driver side by the breaks like a little box you can get a little speaker connector and tap in to the little pins just make sure its the right one it’s usually the one in the left bottom corner
What stereo did you have for this?
Pioneer AVH-2550NEX
Hey where did you buy the subwoofer box?
Ordered mine on Amazon bro 👍🏼
@@lalogvlogs4344 ⁰p
Does any wire setup work for it ?
Depends on the amp or wattage it is, you’d have to use a certain size wire gauge for it. I usually run a 4 gauge amp kit. 100% copper
I believe I have the same subs as your image and I got a 1600wat kit idk if that is good enough and I don't know how to check the wattage it takes
Run a 4 gauge amp kit for it and you’ll have no problem
Thank you
What size are the back door speakers?
6 1/2 is the size bro, actually even the front doors as well! 👍🏼
@@lalogvlogs4344 Awesome thanks! Do I need to buy the mounting brackets or can I make the factory ones work?
If so will the factory brackets work for both front and back or just front?
You could make the factory ones work but it takes time lol to remove the old speaker and mount the new one in place , I’d just buy the adapters tbh bro! 👍🏼
@@lalogvlogs4344 thank you for the fast reply!
