Thank you, I was about to add multiple ticking areas for command blocks in different areas in my world but watching this video made me realize I can just put all those command blocks in one area since the radius of 1 is more than enough to fit all my command blocks that I need.
I was adding a structure_void barrier in parts of my world where I don’t want players going through and I added a command block that kills a player if they cross it but the command didn’t reach far enough to reach all the other void barriers until I added a ticking areas. I have another command block in a different area where if a player crosses through lightblock1, it tells a player a warning before they hit the void block but I didn’t wanna add 2 ticking areas in the world but then I realized I can just put those command blocks and many other command blocks in the same ticking area
Hello there, I have been dealing with a problem and if i have to be honest wanted to solve it by myself. Anyway you seem like you are really experienced with commands so i ask you, is it possible to make this command run? Repeating command_block (/execute as @p at @s positioned ^ ^ ^ run tickingarea add circle ~ ~ ~ 1(name) ) Chain command_block /tickingarea remove (name) Do you think it's possible? Nice video and explanation
You can use commands to add ticking areas at certain times yes. However i wouldn't recommend making an execute @p like that as youl end up with needless ticking areas. That example tho with a little tweaking should work in theory

I didn’t wanna add multiple ticking areas because I feel like my system wont handle well enough if most of my world is ticking
Thank you so much, I didn’t know the circle 1 was that big, thank you!

Good explanation thanks ♥️
What was the command block you used to test the area?
I believe I just had using a /say command displaying a messaging in chat to let us know it was staying loaded inside the ticking area.
thank you^^
Thanks bro this helped alot
Thanks bro
Already knew, just wanted to know what preload was, but thx anyways!
My ticking areas won't list, and I have command feedback on true. What's going on?
Does it say 3/10 for every chunk every seperate time I use it for every seperate area?
Thank you mr beast
Dont know why but when i try it i get no Feedback in Chat Like u and If i want to See the List i dont get Feedback too
@@PhoenixTS_ use a command block to run the list if you turned off chat feedbacks
Can i use it for iron farms
no, ticking areas only work on redstone, command blocks, and the growth of mobs and plants
