Mine didn’t at first either. I had to reset the WPS settings then it let me do it. Instead of password being “admin” or “password” it was in fact the same password our router takes. Hope this helps.
The instructions were unreadable without a microscope. Ah. Drat. Now I get 7mps when phone is connected to the repeater. Before I got 80mps connected to router. No difference if I am right next to repeater or if I am connected through VPN. Must be over looking something. I see many non-experienced people comments. I also thought it was all plug and play.

Could be based on packets, do a ping test and update to increase speed. There are videos on how to do it
