Great, practical video! I agree, you can't go wrong with a pointed toe shoe for a more professional look. The second outfit looks so stylish! And I really like the fifth outfit because it looks smart, yet casually cool. Need more idea videos like this~ 😍

Thanks for the video! Do you think it's appropriate to wear a coat 'during' the interview? (just wearing a thin blouse underneath). The weather will be cold and rainy. I wasn't really sure cuz I've heard people taking the coat off before the interview but not much about wearing it during the room.
I have an orientation at a hospital, and my jaw dropped when I read in the instructions:
BUSINESS FORMAL I was like : Say what?
Now I’m watching videos trying to get some ideas and I have no clue what I’m gonna wear 🤦🏽♀️

Perfect timing, I have an interview and networking breakfast this Thursday! I am having a dilemma as to me breakfast is more casual, but it’s a commercial law firm which are seriously corporate....so not sure what line to tread.
I also like to show some personality as a sea of suits looks so dull I find, and doesn’t reflect me. In the past I’ve worn a brightly coloured sweater layer under a blazer - I remember I was the ONLY colour in the entire room lol it was bright red (rest of my outfit was navy thankfully or I’d be super uncomfortable), the room was like 100 people in shades of white navy grey and black. Zzzzz commercial law firm dressing does not excite me. I’m thinking this time instead of a colour perhaps a top with a nice print in black and white instead, so I don’t look *quite* as soulless hahah but not as shocking as colour.
How serious is the no shoulders do you think? I have a really elegant Theory black knee length dress but it’s sleeveless. It’s super dressy when work with nude heels and a blazer.
Sorry that this is a little late! I think neutrals are always a great (safe) option - i.e. anything in a muted/de saturated hue or even desaturated gem colours too (burgundy, navy, deep emerald) especially in more corporate environments. I found in Sydney that no shoulders was generally fine, but you have to read the mood. If you're not sure, I'd wear a fitted short sleeve top underneath to give the illusion that it has sleeves :)
Hi Jaime, how does the Boden blazer works for you quality wise and sizing- the online reviews are mixed, some excellent and some very bad. Do you have size 6 or 8? Many thanks!! Looking forward to May videos 😊
Hi Kris, I'm wearing it in the UK8 which I think is a good size on me. It's not too fitted and I think it sits well. Perhaps the only issue I really have is that it picks up cat hair very easily (I have a rag doll so his fur gets on everything). Aside from that, I think the quality is nice. It's semi-structured but doesn't feel stiff, and there is a woven texture to the material. Oh, and it's lined with a nice polka dot lining. I hope that helps! x

i am so sad they dont sell that convertible blazer dress anymore :( no other sleeveless blazers i have found have the same versatility and are long enough to be work appropriate. love the looks though!
I would maybe keep an eye out on the SABA site in case they come out with something similar. It's such a special piece so crossing fingers. I did find a very near alternative on Farfetch but it's a little pricey. Probably the closets dupe I've seen! x
Oh that olive pencil skirt... I wonder, does it wrinkle much when you sit down? I always sit down and check how it looks before buying a skirt or a pair of trousers as often I like how the garment fit me when I'm standing but not sitting, so that's a point I always pay attention to. The blazer dress is lovely and the outfit is very classy ! Thanks for the video :)
Ah yes that's a great tip too! It does a little bit but I personally don't think it's anything major. That is the beauty of opting for something in black - you can virtually never tell if it's creased haha! :) Thanks so much for watching lovely x

Ahh bummer! I have seem some other alternatives though if you're after a black one. For vegan leather, I'd maybe check the Charles and Keith website as they have a pretty good selection :)
