Pride is a helluva drug. Side effects can cause severe delusion. When you’re loyal and a fan, sometimes it’s hard to accept the reality. The reality is; a shift has occurred in the State of South Carolina. Many are extremely upset. Many are happy. There are some don't know what to think. But, the reality is; a change has come to the State of South Carolina. I ain't mad. As an Alum or Fan support your program. That's what you suppose to do. However, let's be clear, anyone with TRUE musical ear know well that SCSU was over playing and tone was awful. Just like many of you on here, that's my opinion.
SCSU sounded awful. Nothing like the historic 101 tradition. Even if they have declined in size that is no excuse to sound like they do and to get schooled by an SIAC school.
@band man 101 Cranking doesn't equal quality music. Plenty of bands crack and sound horrible. Benedict will never sacrifice musicianship for LOUDNESS or CRANKING.
Must admit SCSU sound and quality sucks terribly compared to BC! 💜💛...This was actually a well matched battle considering... now back to the SWAC I go!
I don't blame you. I would say the same if I was getting split roasted by a band half your size. Horn Holders need to be dropped. The Tuba section of BC sounds like a middle school band.
See this makes no sense to me. The 101 is marching 60 kids and Benedict has double the amount players but the 101 taking no prisoners. How is that possible again.
The 101 is eating bands alive with 60 members. This is too funny. Wade, you have to take advantage of this while you can. SCSU is battle-tested even with very little members but those kids are putting some air in those horns. BC you are too big to let this happen.

Try something else because even with a 101 alum you are still trash. You guys have always liked our leftovers. You guys don't have an alum that can run a band. I wonder why.....
