When I was reading from Dt. 4 I was using my own paraphrase, as way to just quickly get the context.

Not sure I understand you saying Deuteronomy was most likely written after the Destruction of Jerusalem. Moses wrote the Pentateuc, even the language style matches the time.

The original content of the book had the same source as the book Exodus, so the source could likely have written by Moses. But Deuteronomy was likely edited together just before the destruction of Jerusalem. Mostly likely during the time king Josiah. So it is a version of the "book of law," edited and narrated for people living in Judah before the destruction.

@@theoria-agent Aha, ok, so you are not saying the words were written before the destruction of Jerusalem, but it was compiled as the book of Deutoronomy during the time. Maybe make it a bit clearer next time because it end up sounding like those videos that like to say the Bible was not really written during the times (or before) the events, tending to say it was "edited"
