It is a beautiful thing to see parents so actively enjoying and teaching thier beautiful, smart baby about the world around her. You are doing a great job. Alessi will grow up to be an intelligent, independent, happy adult.

@@LaurenAndArie I think it's because before they learn to speak they have no ability to show they don't want something or don't like something so it's probably amazing to be able to express that. When I was a baby I used to be a little demon apparently; I wouldn't let anyone get close to me except for my mom (even my poor dad!), and the doctor told my mom he thought it was because I was sensitive and I didn't like how close people got or how rough my dad's beard was, for example. And I would've thought the explanation was just a simple way to get my mom off his back, but as soon as I learned to speak and was able to tell people "no", I no longer did any of that! So I think it might be an important part of development for kids. :)

You always here from your parents that once you become a parent Christmas gets even better. You look back to when you were little and the joy and happiness you got waking up Christmas morning with all the presents under the tree and you think that can’t be topped. But watching your little ones on Christmas morning especially once they are old enough to understand what Christmas and Santa actually is, is so much better than you could even think! Watching them get so excited is seriously one of the best things in life! The looks of happiness on their faces when they first wake up Christmas morning is just the best! I wish they could stay this little forever just for the sweet moments and days like this! 🎄❤️
So true!! I feel just as much joy watching my kids open their gifts on Christmas morning as I did opening my own gifts when I was a child. Seeing their excitement brings happy tears to my eyes. I love being a mommy💗

Oh my goodness Alessi is absolutely adorable. I think the bit she enjoyed the most was climbing over all the packaging and wrapping paper, the huge smile on her face when she got to the other side was just so flamin cute. Awwww, Alessi seemed to really love Christmas! She’s so smart, and it’s so cute when she says, Santa, bike, and etc. You both are amazing parents! That’s such a good idea of talking to her in the video about her favorite thing’s, and what you’re all doing. Such a great memory maker!! Just sitting here picturing what your Christmas will look like in 2-3 years when all your babies are at that super fun age and it's just loud and chaotic. Those are my favorite memories from childhood. It's going to be the absolute best for you guys!

She seems very independent at such a young age. She doesn't really want any help, she's not interested in being told what to do, i.e. wearing the slippers, the baby in the carrier. She's not afraid to say no. She's already looking for ways to get what she wants, i.e. trying to use the drawer in the kitchen as a step to get on the counter or at least see the things in the water. Those drawers will be her staircase to the counter in short order. It's good to be an independent woman so it's probably a good thing, but she is going to be a handful. Smiles. Very cute. Very smart.

Training wheels on the bike might be good. LOL She's pretty young. I freaking LOVE that you did this as a diary to Alessi. That is so special.
It looks like it might be a balance bike ☺️ they’re supposed to be ridden with their feet on the ground.
@@arielleeaton497 Training wheels might help with the balance though... 😂 Honestly, they should have got her a baby tricycle. Much easier.
These balance bikes are very common in the Netherlands. They don’t use training wheels
@@janeryan2709 a tricycle is just for fun really, all it teaches is pedalling and steering to some extent. Balance bikes teach kids to balance and steer, which are most important to prepare for learning to use a real bike (and learning balance also helps them walk better). Even kids this young use them. :)
