- After proposing to Becca Kufrin, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. said he missed Lauren Burnham, the show's runner up, and broke off his engagement with Kufrin to pursue Burnham.

Arie did the right/hard thing. The cowardly move would’ve been to stay with Becca until after the show. Becca wouldn’t have become the bachelorette, it probably would’ve been Tia. And he still could’ve tried to get Lauren back offscreen. What he did perfectly set Becca up to be glorified in the public eye while villainizing himself but it’s now worth it because the world sees how serious he was about wanting a life with Lauren. It worked out for everyone.
Glad he followed his heart. Him and Lauren are super happy with an adorable baby and twins on the way!! Sad it had to all happen on film. But it is the bachelor

He didn't says sorry AT ALL the night he broke it off. It was all about him and Lauren. And even when she started crying and asked him to leave he still hung around to watch her cry. Like who does that? I actually found myself yelling at the tv "just leave!! Leave her alone!" And then when they sit down again face to face he says "I apologize." My ex used to do that. Say I apologize instead of I'm sorry because "I'm sorry means I'm full of sorrow and I'm just not". That's what Ari sounded like.
i cringed watching it , there is jo emotions. watch out Lauren. , hes very narcissistic but with low self esteem , he loves the power he have over Lauren.
People hate on Arie but they are some of the few bachelor/bachelorette couples that stayed strong. They have been together for a little over a year and a kid on the way.
I don't hate Arie. He's just really annoying. I face palmed so much throughout his season.

There's a lot wrong with this. First of all, he shouldn't have said "I love you" to both women. Secondly, he shouldn't have let Lauren pour her heart out to him if he was gonna send her home anyways! Then, as he's leaving her and about to propose to Becca, he tells Lauren he loves her! Even after all that, he proposes to Becca and then contacts Lauren behind her back. Then, he breaks up with Becca on national TV cause he thinks that's the "right thing to do." He tells Lauren that he's a 1000% over Becca even though he was the one who proposed to her. Lastly, he proposes to Lauren on TV in the same studio where Becca is sitting!!!
If he wants to pick Lauren, then fine. But what kind of a POS heartlessly dumps someone on TV and then proposes to another woman while she is around? He also did not respect Becca throughout this process. He toyed with her emotions, and got over her so quickly that him telling everyone that he loves two women during the finale sounds extremely fake.
Honestly, Becca dodged a bullet. Happy for her! This ain't gonna last. He's a 36 year old, grey haired f*ckboy, and always will be.

She will be "healing" on national TV soon. I think she was more in love with the idea of winning than the man himself. He had been preparing her after the show finished filming. When he told her in front of the cameras she said that she is embarrass, is that how a woman who is in love reacts to the man that she supposedly love when faced with his decision to leave

His responsibility is he made a mistake, I believe that can happen in a high pressure situation. I commend him for fixing it before it was too late and giving Becca bits and pieces of information before letting her know where his head was at

It wasn’t about arie being confused about which girl to choose, it’s HOW HE HANDLED IT and how he decided alone with the producers to air the breakup on live tv without Becca knowing. He showed no genuine remorse, just did a complete 180 basically saying he wants to work it out with Lauren hoping she “understands” where he’s coming from. All about him -_-
he is not a bad person, but he’s one of those guys who’d leave you if he didn’t love you anymore and act like you’re a complete stranger while leaving. Definitely one of those guys to potentially leave you for another woman too
They’re on their 3rd child already? That’s very promising to hear, I honestly didn’t think they would last and never thought they would make a family. Good for them.

I like Arie, from the first time I saw him on Emily Maynard's season...and no one should judge because the reality show is so swift and much of it is pre-programmed for how and what they are to say; who among us could know their heart in such few weeks? Only after stepping back and being able to breathe and really get to know the heart could be the reason.

This woman accepted a proposal from a man with feelings for another woman. Everyone bashing this man but 90% of the bachelors don’t want to get married and yet feel obligated to propose and choose all the while knowing they’ll breakup later on. He just wasn’t able to continue on with the charade.

It's Insanity but breaking up is better than staying in just to make a show look like a success. So happy for Arie/Becca/Jason and Molly. Life is real and they did the right thing for their lives.

there have been 22 Bachelor Seasons and 13 Ette Seasons (USA that is). But I don't see no 20 Successful Couples. I only count 9. Someone needs to prove this 20 to me. 9: Trista and Ryan (married); Ashley and JP (married); Desiree and Chris (married); Kaitlyn and Shawn (still); JoJo and Jordan (still); Rachel and Bryan (still); Sean and Catherine (married); Jason and Molly (runner up) (married); and NOW Arie and Lauren (runner up) (still engaged). Deanna marrying the twin brother of a guy who had been a contestant on an Ette Season doesn't count. I'm not even sure we can count that Dentist guy who was on Ashley's Season who married Holly, cuz neither of them were Bach or Ette. So it depends on how far you want to go down the Bachelor Nation Tree.
So I have 9 out of 35 Seasons.

I felt that Arie should be with Lauren. She is quiet but real and very sweet. Very intelligent also. Got disappointed to see he choose Becca. Becca is more talkative but I didn't see that much connexion at least on screen as I saw with Laureen. I liked the romantic side of Arie's relationship with Lauren. Good it ended up like this and I hope and think it will work. They just look very sweet together.

Why is everyone so horrible towards Lauren?! This isn't her fault and just because she's quiet on camera and not as outgoing as Becca does not mean that she is a "weak frail little person" wtf. Some people are more reserved but that doesn't mean that they aren't just as strong and interesting once you have the time to get to know them and no one saw every second of Arie and Laurens relationship.
