It's basically The Battle Cats with Korean, Japanese and Chinese waifus (and husbandos) lol. I've been playing since day 1 in the SEA server, while I spent regularly on the battle passes for the characters, and once went full all in on Awakened Mina, I stayed mostly F2P. Luckily I managed to get most, if not all the Awakened units without spending on the special recruitment tickets. So yeah, you can totally play this as a side game and a light spender imho. Oh and one more thing, the side stories have one of the best stories in a gacha game (or any game ever). I'm not even kidding or exaggerating it. Some of them are typical, fun side stories. Some of them are very dark and tragic, yet they all have close ties to the main lore / storyline. Not to mention continuation, so you can see the fate of character X in character Y's storyline. Or how character Z can interact and help out in X's story.
Well I have been playing for some time and it's a good game with generous developers who give good amount of resources every day. I mean yes it's not as fast and generous as swordmaster story but it's gameplay is different , not completely turn based so I guess you all can give it a try
You have to consider that this game is only 2-3 years old and it has much better value than games that have been around for decades at this point. That's really impressive for a new game in the market. I almost have no complaints about this game and PVP (usually being the point of toxicity) is relatively fun even if you don't whale.
How's the story in the game? PNG's are nice, but I really get into characters when they have nice background and actually do stuff in the context of the game. GBF, E7 are more interesting to me in that regard where as some of the other big names in the genre like Azur Lane are not.
It's subjective to your preferences. But imo, it's better than E7's story. Unlike most mobile games, their characters have actual personalities and aren't 1dimensional. World building is great, events and side stories are connected to the main story. The soundtracks are also amazing.
@@trendmadegamer8725 If you remember what Reginald/Replacer king said... different worlds have existed and fallen to the counter side several times over. I'm playing around month on global and month on sea, yeah, PVE content for now is just skip button and even on SEA server it's still mostly nothing to do. This game is all about pvp, , it's basically card game but with 2D action, it's looks simple on video, but no, very high skill based, u can beat even wales if u good in strat. Also what is important there is no limits, u can do pvp all day and climb on the rank. Sad that Counter:Side is so underrated, in August they launching steam client, I hope that helps.
It has a good honeymoon phase, but it's pretty repetitive long term, and the gameplay is a bit of a mess, very cluttered. I don't know, not bad but not that great, 6.8/10 imo.

Rank PVP is really fun and exciting with ban voting system everyweek unlike those turn based games that rely on gears , this games rely on skills even if you dont have good gear you can outsmart them by R and SR units only
Don't EVER use Gold Binaries on Exclusive Equipments. EVER. Not E.V.E.R. Reason is because only 1 unit can use that EE, you can't shift it around your units. That being said, there is no bullshit "unequip cost" here, you're free to change gear around. Also, there isn't the whole bullshit rolling system that E7 has. You roll on the substat when you get the gear or when you use a silver binary, and then you can use those same silver binaries (they are farmable) to "max roll" said stat. So given time, you can optimize any gear. That said, it's a lot more cost effective to look for gear that fits into specific sets (cooldown reduction, aspd, for example). You want to use your Gold Binaries for only the best gear sets of the game (which, in general, will be the Maze gear sets. So you'll want one Maze set that is full aspd, another one or two that is full CDR, etc)
No offense but I think you over value Epic 7 which is fine because it's your personal opinion. But Epic 7 isn't really TRYING to stay competitive with newer gachas and that to me is the biggest con of them all. When you COULD try to improve your game for the players but you decide to scam them with a Huche shop instead. It's just the wrong attitude so I'm always up for a gacha to replace Epic 7 with.
Some items in the huche shop are good. They just recently added skin tickets to the huche shop and that's a great deal. I was able to buy my S.Tene skin because of the huche skin tickets.
Is it really overvalue if it's easily the best gacha on the market right now? E7 has so much to improve i agree, the devs are very out of touch, they make so many mistakes that are very hard to fix, but let's be honest, it still has no competition right now, not even close. CS was kinda fun for a week or two, but it became repetitive and boring really fast, at least for me, i don't even play it anymore. Genshin is just a scam in disguise, and Alchemy Stars and Arknights are just like CS, fun for a week or two, and they are chibi games, so not even close to E7. The only game that has the possibility to dethrone E7 is Honkai Star Rail imo, it looks really good, but it's Mihoyo, so sadly i don't want to have my hopes too high, i don't trust that company at all.
@@Windsouls I would agree with you if the PVE grind wasn't such a pain in Epic Seven, it felt like time scan for me, I mean I started playing because of collab to realize later on most of them has barely any overall use, just niche things (although very important sometimes), like why I would want to build alexa, gear her, farm for half a month just to get other gears for her to slightly improve the 30 minutes repetition of wyvern instead of millim or rimuru for example, (talking about the transition of mid to late game, which was the reason i've dropped the game), but if you dont do that, you cant use the characters you want to. And tbh, most of the PVE units are old units and their design is kinda lame compared to newer units which are mostly pvp units. (dont hate on me pls, im just sharing my experience with the game, i dont think it is a bad game at all)
@@alexandreivano6965 This game is heavily focused on PvP, Abyss is just a character + gear + RNG check, and the rest is just your auto daily farm to get your gear and mats. The gearing system can be better i agree, but keep in mind it's an RPG and a gacha game, and the game has been running for years, you're gonna have trouble catching up to old players, but then when you get good gear it feels really good. You don't farm gear for Wyvern really, the game gives you free gear sets and characters that are more than enough to farm Wyvern13, and then you use your left over gear pieces to improve the team when you can, but it's not needed. If you're gearing your Wyvern team and started playing with the collab you're likely in the very early game, not mid game, so i'd keep playing casually until you have a decent pool of units ready, then it starts to feel better, at least it did for me. Have a good day, and don't worry i'm not gonna hate on you, feel free to ask 👍

This is a waifu collector with an upgraded battle cats combat system. Awesome game, worth your time.
Piece of advice on the exclusive equips, NEVER use set binaries on them. Maze gears are way better for flexibility.
