- Not a lot of DIYer support out there for the LA400 gate opener, plus the connection to the magnetic lock is a little confusing. Hope this helps. Please comment and let's get extra clarity where needed.

Super helpful. My gate is stopping just short of the maglock; I’m going to try resetting the gate positions as you describe.

Excellent video. Can you show 12V wire connection?
Really helpful and appreciate some real-world experience you had as i tackle it. Dogs are again dictating the need on my side. Question - you didn't have the 24V plug-in transformer to the left of the LA400 plugged in. I had assumed that was required, but i may be wrong. Do you know what the transformer block is for?
Did you purchase the 24V DC transformer? and possible that you can show how you hooked up the wire to the LA Board.
what would be the solution to a magnet lock not engaging and locking after 2 years installation? My lock led is orange on the board when closing.
Hi, informative video but how would the wiring scheme work if you are using solar panel to provide power and charge to two 12 v batteries in series. I can only imagine the method you showed cannot work for those with LA 400 but on solar as that would drain the batteries during nights with no supplemental power.

Aperture will lock with mag lock on its own. When I connect aperture to metal gate, no connection. I live in Grand Prairie, anyone can help with sending wire connection to liftmaster control box?

I installed a mag lock like this and started having trouble with it, ended up taking the board out and lift master will not warranty it they said you can not use the accessory power is not sufficient, also after looking at wiring instructions it indicated a added power supply????????
Also, do the red, white, and black wires from the lock not get used?

Sorry for the delay, did not see a notice. You only use the brown, blue, purple and yellow on that particular lock. You just tie together the blue and purple wires. Then the only wires used on the opener side is brown and yellow from the lock.
Did you have to extend the wires of your mag lock? The one I have only has 6ft of wire
Yes I did, I would use at least the same wire thickness to extend, possibly up it by a little. I would also solder each wire after the twist, then tape and waterproof.
