I bought myself a wooden shed, a small one that’s only 4 x 8’. It’s small but the wood is quite strong it feels heavy duty. Painted it and now I will insulate it with some foam board insulation. I use it for storage but don’t have too much stuff, so it has now become my man cave and personal space as well. Pretty cool chill and hangout spot.
Hello fellow Phoenician. Great video. Definitely gives a better perspective versus reading the reviews online. Since this material is HDPE it shouldn't be effected by heat till over 200F. I will likely try my luck with one too
Thanks! That is good to know about the HDPE - if we reach 200f my garden tools will be the least of my concerns! If you get it, I hope it works out well for you. Good luck!
Lifetime has been a great shed. Have had mine for about 14 years and it's still standing and strong as ever! Color hasn't faded the windows/skylights are still clear/no leaks. Wouldn't touch a Suncast.
It turned out. I just put together a 7x7x 7.5 high shed. Level spot is the best. Preferable on concrete. It was an experience for sure. Try to pick out one that is vented for summer heat. Mine has windows. Keep it pretty with some 303 sun block.
Looks nice! I bought an all plastic one a couple of years ago. It was shorter. After a couple of Phoenix area summers, it started warping and would no longer hold together. It was on the east wall that received mostly afternoon shade from the house. I have since bought a wooden one that is not nearly as wide as yours, and it has survived a couple of our summers in the same spot as the plastic one. But I think that the metal in your container should help it hold its shape much better than my old plastic one did.
It will be interesting to see. I knew it was a risk potentially with the heat, but that area is fairly shaded. But for the price, it was worth saving my sanity when it came to organizing my harden stuff - LOL!
I just built one last week. Lifetime is a good brand and I have 3 of their products on my property. This shed should have taken maybe 2 hours to assemble but their lack of hardware labeling stretched it out to 5 hours. Maybe just me... Anyway, hope yours survives the AZ sun. I'm in WA so no problem (and no Sun...) Thanks for the video.
If you turned that board on it's edge, you would have a much flatter/level surface to level off of. It's a flooring board, so those edges have to be straight because they are mating surfaces. @6:41 just as you're saying "It'll work for now'' you can clearly see a bow in the horizontal plane of that board, hence my opening statement. 👍
Greetings from Arizona! Yeah, that's my biggest concern, but it will work for now. I am so glad to get all that stuff my out of my garage, and into a place that is easier to access.
Thanks! It was a bit complicated, but not terrible. I did edit a bit out of the video (mostly me standing there thinking - lol), but there were a few frustrating moments when I had to get parts to fit right.
I never caught the size of shed & price. I had to mute video because music was too loud & repetitive (No offense, but just for future videos). Other than that, great video!
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. The shed is: 6.4 ft. x 3.6 ft. x 5.8 ft. and is around $500 at Costco (it has gone up a little in price since I made this video). www.costco.com/lifetime-utility-shed%2c-gray.product.4000204840.html
Yeah, I wish I had thought of that at the time, but I still hope you got something valuable from the video. Good idea for he next time I do a video like that. Thanks for the feedback!
There is a slight pitch to the back so water will run off. We have had a few heavy rainstorms since I put it together and there have been no issues. The heat warping it is my number one concern, so I guess we will see. I plan to do a follow up video this fall about how it weathered the heat.
lol - you are probably right. I feel like every time I say "Costco" at my house it cost me $500 - "Hey let's go to Costco to get toilet paper", one garden shed later, and I forgot to get the toilet paper!
@@A_Warriors_Garden Haha right on! We go there weekly and spend a good chunk on the things we buy weekly but usually end up with some random non food item we don't need for 50-100 bucks =D

Good to know. I purchased before seeing this video. Should be here next week. This was my concern of this type of shed.

That is great to know! That is one of my biggest concerns, so it's good to hear yours as held strong.
Looks like a great shed for your tools...your garden looks great, too.
Thank you! So far I really like it. We will see how it holds up.

Nice! Sounds like a great idea!
Perfect timing! Was eyeballing one similar to this one in a C-box-store ad yesterday! Here’s hoping the heat isn’t a problem for your shed.
Cheers
Fingers crossed!
@@A_Warriors_Garden we ordered it, got it, assembled it, love it!
Glad to hear it!

You're Welcome! I hope it survives as well. I had a similar experience with the hardware and some of the instructions not being clear.

very good point! I hadn't thought of turning it on its edge.
Cool beans. I hope the heat doesn't warp it. Greetings from the East Texas Piney Woods 👋🤠

Subscribed! I have a Suncast 6x4 shed, the hardest part for me was laying pavers, holding up well in the Arizona heat and HOA have not said anything.
Thanks! That is really good to know!
I'm working on my garden shed. Wish me luck. 😊
I hope it goes well. Let me know how it goes!
That first 5 seconds of the video is the epitome of all my storage areas. I felt my blood pressure spike im sympathy just watching it happen.
Haha! I wish I could say it only happened once, but it took a few times before I decided to do something about it!
Looks great! You made that look easy even though I’m sure it’s a kind of complicated! I need one of these in my yard!!
Thanks! It was a bit complicated, but not terrible. I did edit a bit out of the video (mostly me standing there thinking - lol), but there were a few frustrating moments when I had to get parts to fit right.
I bought this same shelf for my grandkids outdoor toys.
Good choice! So far I really like mine.
Looks great. Thanks for sharing. May get one myself.
Glad you like it! So far it has worked really well, and I am glad I did it.
Nice work! That thing looks perfect there, like it was made for it.
Thanks 👍I am really happy how perfect it fit there.
Love it. Lifetime products are great

love your garden!!
Thanks!
I wish you had moved your camera closer so I could tell if all the holes are pre-drilled and see what or how you are constructing your shed.
Yeah, I wish I had thought of that at the time, but I still hope you got something valuable from the video. Good idea for he next time I do a video like that. Thanks for the feedback!
Great video what the name. And the sq ft and how much
Thanks! It's a "Lifetime Utility Shed" 36 sq ft. cost me about $550 from Costco.
Is there any pitch to keep water from accumulating on the top, you know in AZ it’s going to warp.

Looks great! What is the actual assembled height?
Thanks! It is 69 1/4 inches or 176 cm
@@A_Warriors_Garden Thanks for your reply. I am going to measure my fence height. My HOA also prohibit any structure higher than the fence.
Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
I loved the fast forward stomping made me sub 😂😂😂 I help my husband put one of these together and it’s still looks new five years on.
Thanks! that's really good to know that it is still doing good. Thanks for the sub!
Fun watching. But that segment of flooring board was definitely not straight. It was slightly bowed!
You are correct! I actually had to go back later and correct it slightly before I put stuff in the shed
Thanks for the video!
Your Welcome!
I have 3 storage at my house try to remove it expect harsh consequences
I agree!
I'm pretty sure you can say Costco in your video, lol.

Sorry it's illegal ,take it down
They can have it when they pry it out of my cold dead gardening hands - 😆
