  • The Future of Green Technology
With rising concerns over climate change and global warming, more and more companies are looking into green technology. Innovations in the sector are promising to change how most of us live our lives. These new technologies could disrupt everything that we have grown accustomed to. But will this disruption be for the better or for the worse remains to be seen. As of now, we are looking at a lot of plans that are in the working.
Let’s take a look at what these developments mean for consumers across the globe.
Green-tech is primarily about finding ways to curb our huge reliance on fossil fuels and reduce pollution. It is no secret that global oil consumption is unsustainable in the long run. Even now we are seeing the effects of the climate change crisis and scientists warn that if we continue we are looking at an unprecedented disaster. The scale of destruction rising sea levels and soaring temperatures would create is almost unfathomable. This is why we need to move towards environmentally conscious solutions right now.
The primary focus of any green technology project will always be in the energy sector. The world today is heading into the unknown if we continue to rely on fossil fuels. the toxic exhaust and greenhouse effect notwithstanding, the fact is that fossil fuels are finite and sooner or later we will need to shift to renewable sources of energy.
The solar power industry is growing fast and is aiming at achieving enough solar capacity in the future. As one of the leading green technologies with implementation all over the world, a lot of innovations are coming up every day.

is there any possibility that the polluted air can be converted to a fresh air.?

How is a photovoltaic cell created? It is HEAVILY dependent on fossil fuels. Every single step of the production of solar photovoltaic power systems-solar energy-requires the use of fossil fuels, for carbon reductants, for smelting silicon from ore, for providing heat and power for the manufacturing process, for the transport of materials across nations and continents, for construction and installation. The only truly renewable materials consumed in solar photovoltaic power systems production, you know what they are? Trees, torn down and obtained from the burning of vast areas of tropical rainforest, mainly in the Amazon, for creating charcoal-carbon-which is needed for extracting silicon. Now add to this the mineral resources and fossil fuels necessary for constructing factories, processing equipment and maintenance of the solar energy infrastructure! And at the end of this process, you know how long a solar panel last? Maybe twenty years. You know how long a solar battery lasts? Five, maybe ten years maximum. You think in five, ten, fifteen year this cell and this battery have balanced out all the CO2 that was generated to manufacture them?

That is true. Hydro, electric, solar, wind and especially nuclear will all have to play a role, alongside significantly decreased fossil fuel usage. Add in recycling of things like plastic into roads, etc. Infrastructural changes like incorporating solar collecting tech. Market innovation will have to be a major factor.

I’m a capitalist and I prefer having free markets and companies and start ups building green tech

Instead we have government subsidizing “black” energy (oil companies) and fucking up this free market
