- These girls are very quickly becoming some of my favorites in kpop! Their music is so fun and interesting to listen to with the instrumentals in the back. I've always been a rock baby at heart. They all looked stunning in this video, and I'm loving the running theme throughout these last 3 videos so far.

"Fly High" is probably the poppiest of the Nightmare arc. It was not done by their usual production team as well. But it makes sense, since this is a prequel, so bringing in a bit of the Minx sound makes sense to me. There are really heavy parts in it as well, which clearly state that they are not Minx anymore. And I love the dark parts thrown in, they really make the song special. The light part sung by SuA after the metal break is in major, while the rest of the song is in minor. That is why it stands out so much. They did the same in Good Night, but a lot shorter.
About the MV: You can see Yoohyeon burning the spider, which brought the curse of the spider queen down on the members. You will see the spider queen again in You and I. In Native American mythology, spiders are considered protectors, that is why a Dreamcatcher resembles a spider's net. That is a brilliant connection to their name! 😊
Sometimes they do concerts with a live band. Also there is a special clip for their song mayday where they sing with a band form by some of their fans ❤
Pretty much all their titles are going to be either heavier or up beat or both. When you get to b-sides though you'll find all kinds of stuff including gorgeous emotional ballads, r&b, edm, funk, jazz, and more.
You were correct in that this takes place before they were turned into Nightmares. The events in fly high, specifically Yoohyeon burning the spider with the magnifying glass, kick off the curse. Jiu closes the gate at the end of the song trapping all of them and the Curse inside. For reference, Chase Me takes place around 100 years after the Fly High MV.
Now that they've escaped from the mansion (in good night) there will be consequences.
The singer you enjoyed the voice at 2:20 is the main vocalist Siyeon (pronounced kind of like as "she yawn") and she also did the belting high note in the back at the end of the song. Then the one you were not sure about at around 3:12 is the main dancer SuA ("Soo-Ah", "ah" like in "apple"). Fun fact, people often mix SuA and Siyeon when starting to fall in the DC rabbit hole, especially for older MVs).
I think you would like their music show outfits for this one as they are alternate colored versions of the blue one (there are pink, silver, light blue, green, etc... versions). Their choreos are mesmerizing.
For slower songs, you can also check their B-sides as they almost always add a ballad or slow song in their albums.
glad you mentioned the outfits, the girls start off in red and one by one are picked off by the curse that yoohyeon unleashed by burning the spider. by the end they’re all in blue

try to remember her for the next ones, you will see her evolution with each album, she has always been incredible, but we see the enormous evolution between the first album, I could even say even befor, the time of "minx" to today.
Of course, everyone has evolved, but she is the one who impresses me the most. (That's my bias too ^^)
