I have the 6 and it is helpful to have a foam gun or cannon rather than just having the buckets. But a helpful tip i was given when i bought it was to add warm water to the soap for more sud activation.
I just bought the foam blasters 6 today and will use it tonight. On after seeing this video I feel I made a good decision. If you run out of soap it's cheap, just refill the bottle and go again. Will give you my thoughts tomorrow on this product.
I have no experience with either, but I feel the r1 wasn't given a full shot since the tips were never tested. I suspect they gage the amount of foam produced to get more. It's like the adjustable part on the 6, only less convenience cus thats what you really pay more for
Just got mine delivered and I came straight to UA-cam! Haha thanks for thinking about others and giving us a full tutorial. I put the blue tip in but I'll switch to yellow to see if the pressure comes out harder. Appreciate you!
Maybe one of the other two “ nozzles” for the first gun? I too found that on the number 5 setting the Blaster goes through the entire bottle before you get halfway through spraying the vehicle surface and it would be even worse on a full sized truck etc. The black piece that pushes into the cap on the blaster broke very easily. It wasn’t dropped it was placed down softly on the grass and snapped. No replacement part available so I would have to buy another Blaster. At least that would solve the empty bottle after half the car thing as I could have the second bottle ready to go. I wonder how much of a difference the type of soap makes. I have tried two different types and there is a slight difference. I also tried using just a bit more than the soap line and also a very slight difference. One thing that did make a bit more of a difference in foam thickness is I use hot water in the bottle.
I'm late to the party, just had mine delivered today after purchasing a much cheaper one and immediately returning it. Per the instruction booklet the Torq EQP323 Snow Foam Blaster R1 Foam Gun can also be used to clean the engine bay. I'm curious if anyone used it in this manner? Looks like my first opportunity to use my foam gun will be next Tuesday as I live in the PNW and rain is expected through then. TIA
I got that one. But for #11 where do you put that small part in. I was testing it, by putting in little soap. So i guess i didn't work out the way i wanted to.
So I have the foam gun 6 and I put it on settings 5, I can do my whole Lincoln corsair suv with one fill if I go fast. I will say I was disappointed by mine.. the picture on the box and chemical guys video makes it look much better. I use mr pink with mine but I was expecting that thick layer of suds and it didn’t happen. The pressure seams pretty low too, guessing that’s because it being used to siphon the soap from the canister? I’m confused by the soap line on the bottom of the 6. They tell you to add water first, then soap on their UA-cam video, but the soap line would lead you to believe you add the soap to the line, then fill with water. I’m also not impressed by their mr pink or snow foam soap, I’ve found meguiars soap to be much more soapy and sudsy. Since I don’t really like the soap that much I think I’m going to try and fill that whole canister with soap and see if I can accomplish that thick layer of suds..seems wasteful but I need and excuse to burn it up so I can try a different soap with my foam gun.. Btw, nice M3!
Nice video, but it's actually 4x as much. You foamed half your car to empty, and the other one, you foamed your entire car + some, and still had half left over. At the end of the day, it's just how much foam you need vs how much you want.
I tried foam blaster 6 and it was junk. Really watery suds no matter what setting or amount of soap. Ran right off the car and didn’t settle for awhile to lift grime. If ceramic coated it runs right off because it’s too watery.
Thank you for the video. I was wondering what the difference was. Clearly the 6 is better than the R1. My question to you is have to tried any of the other chemical guys snow foams with the 6 and found it does an even better job than the soap you tested with? I hear the Mr. Pink and the Honeydew are great foaming soaps but was wondering how they come out of the gun (6)?
Hey thanks for watching. I have a video coming up with Mr Pink. I also did use Honeydew. I think those are good soaps, and foam is about the same. I use Chem Guys soaps 99% of the time. They all work very similar I would suggest just buy whats on sale in the gallon. My typical is Mr Suds I just kind of stuck to it, I dont see much difference in others.
Did you test the R1's different tips? Perhaps each of the tips increases the amount of foam. Need another video showing the R1 using the different tips.
I have the R1 and have tried all 3. I find mine At Ollie’s for $19.99 and thank god because I am very disappointed in it. Would no way pay $45 plus for these.
The two bucket method is kind of a joke. The dirt still gets into the main water. Does anyone really think rubbing the mitt on the guard doesn’t kick up dirt into the upper portion of water.
No. You foam the car then use your mitt to wipe down the entire car then you rinse. Make sure you rinse off the mitt periodically so you don'y get it too full of dirt.
6 is more foaming because you used a much lower dilution rate. The other one will foam the same if you put as much soap through it. Shaving cream thick foam is pointless and costs a lot of money/product. Soapy water only offers so much lubrication. More foam doesn’t mean more lubrication, just means more product on the car. Both look to be good products.
The torq one is a knock off of adams foam .. just green.. it even comes with the same 3 tips for inside.. China makes alot different ones for all the companies.. all same factory.. I have one the same as chemical guys but mine is red for 40 aus .. the torq one is the best. But it's sad when adams makes out there there's is so good cause of this and that. When there all a copy of 1 mould. Theb charge more money for it

I have the cheaper R1 and found that the low pressure yellow tip gave me a decent foam similar to the 6.

OMG! I’ve been trying to figure out what that extra plastic piece was for, & couldn’t find it anywhere. Thank you!

Late to the party but you went from setting #1 (almost plain water) to setting #5 which uses the most soap. What were setting #3 or #4 like?
Just got mine delivered and I came straight to UA-cam! Haha thanks for thinking about others and giving us a full tutorial. I put the blue tip in but I'll switch to yellow to see if the pressure comes out harder. Appreciate you!

Thanks for the comment. Hot water can be a good test.
thanks for the in-depth comparison. i just ordered the Foam Blaster 6.

Thank you! Was wondering where in the world does the tips go into to, lol. Tks again
Great video. Had the same questions as to which one was better myself. Thanks for the video and demo 🤙🏼
Do you need hose to do it
I got that one. But for #11 where do you put that small part in. I was testing it, by putting in little soap. So i guess i didn't work out the way i wanted to.
actual foam gun test at 11:50, your welcome
You're *
@@BoostTechTV omg you're that guy lols
These are plastic handles I had the Chemical guys one and it broke. Try the Gilmour Cleaning Sprayer Foamaster
Why not put more soap in the R1 and see if that gives you equal or more soap on the car.

Many people are saying to use warm water to activate more suds

good to know.....thanks
I think its a pretty useful tool - I use this item as a No Bucket Car wash process in my video - super easy way to wash your car
Thank you for the video. I was trying to figure out what to do with those metering tips. Instructions are terrible

Is it supposed to also get off the dirt and grime?
can you change the orifice in foam guns? or is that just in cannons?
Most of it ends up running off the car and on to the ground...nothing like the pressure washer cannons.
Yeah. Sometimes you want a quick wash so this is better than just a hose still.
Hi, would you like to review the new MJJC foam cannon pro?
Hi yes absolutely. How can I contact you?
washing your car in direct sunlight? what’s the point?
To make a youtube video. ;/
Nice demo, thanks for cutting in front of in Hartford .
I have no idea what that means. But 👍.
Wow I just got mine from Ollie’s today!
Which tip worked better do you think?
@shawnd5430 I also picked one up from Ollie's. At one point the R1 Snow foam blaster was like $59.00. I still feel like I wasted 20 bucks lol.
Great demo. Thanks for this video.
Glad to help. Thanks for checking it out.
Thanks so much for this video it really helped with my decision in this. Great comparison all the way through! 👍
The two bucket method is kind of a joke. The dirt still gets into the main water. Does anyone really think rubbing the mitt on the guard doesn’t kick up dirt into the upper portion of water.
This is true but I think the entire idea is to minimize the amount of dirt and grime, not completely get rid of all of it.
I guess when u used the foam blaster, u let it dry right?
No. You foam the car then use your mitt to wipe down the entire car then you rinse. Make sure you rinse off the mitt periodically so you don'y get it too full of dirt.
Have you since tried the colored flow adjusters to the R1?
Yes. Still not fully comparable to the 6 for some reason. Both are good products. I just dont have a clue why Chemical Guys makes both.
@@BoostTechTV ones cheaper
That’s bizarre about the container size
Zero tutorial from The Chemical Guys! Thanks for the video.👍🏼😎
I really not interested in how the car gets watered its the soap that matters. Nice comparison though.
Both made by torq fyi
Thanks for your video. Your video has made my buying decision much easier.
These are both good but seen side by side is a better idea of the difference
Nice video . Love the M40i
Maybe the first nozzle loosened the bug splats.
Great review I'm going to go with the chemical guys r1 phone blaster

Lol the satisfaction.. he said look at that 👍🏾👍🏾
You can do it, It pronounce ( highly concentrated)
Amazing video!
Hey. I appreciate it.
You only get what you pay for the other one did half the job and it was probably half the money
Thank you! Exactly the video I needed to decide!! Super appreciate it pal!
Live in a community where a pressure may be too loud. 😂 I would buy the loudest I could find.
Closed caption would be nice for the deaf and hard of hearing people please and thank you
Hi. I just enabled captions. I never considered this I knew it was not avaialble. I hope it will help in the future when viewing my chanel. Thanks!!
Your video gave me motion sickness casted to the TV.
Thank you ‼️👍🏾
