Definitely some of the best bourbon from JB. I always thought that if comparing the age, proof and quality of Lineage to whiskey from other distilleries with similar stats, the prices would be insane. The plus is that it just sits at the distillery gift shop most of the time. Downside is that I heard that it’s just starting to dwindle a little
Great comparison! I went in to the distillery asking for Hardin’s Creek and they said the only “allocated” product they had was Lineage. So I bought it despite the stupid price. I agree it’s very good, but the price tag is a bit too hefty. I threw the box away as soon as I got home….
Another excellent top-shelf comparison, Bill. With this endless flow of premier bottles, you'll have to start recording the reviews in a tuxedo. Or an ascot... I tried Lineage at the distillery and really liked it, but not $250 liked it. Also helps that I had recently acquired JW211, thanks to your recommendation, for $50 left than Lineage. And I like it more. Cheers.
Had a pour of the lineage at the distillery. It was very tasty but even with the beautiful box and delicious juice inside. I couldnt pull the trigger for $250. Preferred the kc 18 myself.
Yeah I get that it’s splitting hairs comparing them the problem is they have a lot of awesome offerings like KC18 and the Hardins Creek at $165 it makes the $250 steep for a box
Yeah that’s for sure it’s top tier stuff is Beam didn’t have nearly as good products cheaper would probably give it a fair value compared to what others charge

@@bourbonbill, I think the competition is running behind the original schedule that Matt had in mind a few months back. If I'm not mistaken the original plan was to have the tastings start in June and conclude in July. In the video I saw where Matt announced who was *in* Matt at one point alluded to being behind schedule and he said the reason it was behind was because of *him* . I think you're 5th seed. There is a 6th seed and Matt said that the 6th seed people are starting at a disadvantage to the 5th seed.

It does sound delicious, just a somewhat brutal price tag. Still, I’ve seen higher prices on lesser quality products
