This has given me new hope, I've been injured for coming up to one year, with posterior Tibial tendon trouble. Thank you all.

Probably won't make the WS escarpment sunrise but excited to also be doing both WS100 and UTMB. Looking forward to the Lickteig, Boulet and Howe battle at both.

Wow this was so useful. I have haglund's deformities on both my feet but mine flare up only after 4+hours of running and after I am finished. I'm 21 so I feel like if I'm diligent about resting when needed, making sure my footwear ( running or otherwise) is on point and working on core strength, posture and stability through daily yoga i can probably stave off a major flare up for a while.

Do you (everyone present) ever run like week long trails or routes just for the fun of it? i'm planning a trip to germany this summer to run eifelsteig (300 km) I'm planning on it to take roughly a week. It is supposed to have some really nice nature and cool stuff along the way.

Eniroth I tend to keep my solo adventures under a day. I wouldn't go on multi day adventure alone or without support. But that's just me. Always have everything figured out so If anything happens people know where to find you.
Be safe! And enjoy the nature. I googled it and it looks amazing!
Note for noneuropeans: our wilderness is much more safe than in USA & Canada. And there's almost always some small village very close to the trail.

Yeah i'm doing it with my brother and we're planning it through properly, but the thing is i'm kind of more interested in a weeklong outing like that than i would be to just run through the day, might not make any sense but to me it is an adventure vs not an adventure, if you understand what i mean :)
Anyway i fell in love with the idea of running that trail because of the awesome scenery along the way, eifel national park, all the churches, castles and other old buildings and architecture and just the experience itself. I think it'll be a really fun trip.

I'm planning to run the Tour Mt Blanc in august, and to sleep in shelters. I also do it for the views, and the food and wine. I bring my wife along.

that sounds cool. I'm only a novice distance runner, broke my own PR yesterday which is nice but i'm still developing and don't really know where my limits are. Eifelsteig will be a nice way to test myself and my willpower. If i can stay the course for a full week and keep nutrition, hydration, and spirit up during the whole thing, or most of the run, i will consider it a success and attempt to join a 50 or 100 k race. we'll see though.
