I have been to Saskatoon for 10 days 9 years ago. I loved that town. You helped my memories refresh. I live in Montreal but I wold like to visit Saskatoon again.
Regina born,I’ve lived the last 45 years in Victoria which I consider the best city period The last two years I’m back and I find myself in my second favourite city Saskatoon Everything is done right in Saskatoon You definitely want to live downtown if possible Love these videos
I use to walk that train bridge twice a day.. In the morning and evening working at the University..I remember each morning on my way to work I would always meet the Train and the Engineer would always wave and blow his horn..Great memories..
In a parallel universe I would be living in Saskatoon. I applied visa for Queensland Australia and Saskatchewan Canada at the same time 8 years ago, and did quite a bit of research for both of them. Finally Australia granted my visa earlier, so I end in Brisbane. Always interested in Saskatoon life.
I visited Saskatoon for 5 days over 25 years ago, I’ve always wanted to go back. My favorite was the trails along the river and the bridges, which of course it is famous for. I really liked the railroad bridge you can walk over, where you started. I’ve never been to Regina but I think Saskatoon probably is the best city in Saskatchewan - there’s not much competition in that province!
I really enjoy any of your videos which includes your Dad...as an old guy myself maybe I can relate to him and his quiet friendly demeanour...and most of all I can appreciate you more for being a kind, loving daughter. Thanks for the tour of Saskatoon...I was a cadet in the Cameron Highlanders(from Winnipeg) who trained in Dundurn(at the age of 15) one summer many many years ago and we were in a parade and then I thought it was a welcoming city which is still continues to be today. The only difference between your Dad and I is that I love Rock and Roll music and I am many years older than he is!!!!
Hi Alina! It's really nice to visit Saskatoon with you and your dad! Much has changed since I lived in Saskatoon, but some things remain the same. The Broadway neighborhood remains classic! Saskatoon was a great place to live as a student! I have some wonderful memories. Thanks for the tour!

Being from Australia I knew nothing about Saskatoon before and now it is my ambition to go there. Thanks for the inspiring video and your dad is the greatest!
Saskatoon is definitely the most under rated in Canada. It is a hidden gem for sure. In my opinion it's addition of the Riverwalk makes it the number one the entire country.
My wife is from Saskatoon and we used to visit her parents twice a year for many years. They passed on and we don't get back there much but I was always impressed with that city. However, I have a cousin in Regina and he gets annoyed if you try to maintain Saskatoon is a better city. I don't think he will see this post so let me say, Alec, (my cousin), Saskatoon is nicer than Regina. We've been on that railway bridge with our kids, lovely spot.
It’s not even a competition. Saskatoon way > Regina. Only people from Regina can be shocked to find out Saskatoon is better. To everyone else: “when you know, you know.”
Originally grew up in the Wildwood neighborhood. Favourites in the city have always been the Meewasin Valley trail, Midtown Plaza, Broadway, the Forestry Farm, golfing - Holiday Park, the Willows, and Saskatoon West before the city gave it to the Saskatoon Golf and Country in exchange for latter's land to build south Circle Drive. Outside of the city, Beaver Creek and Pike Lake. A little trivia, the Land Titles building was one of the filming locations in the Disney TV movie "I Downloaded a Ghost".
Very happy Alina to see your loving dad!. He is a nice person! This town looks very beautiful and it deserves the name of the Paris of the prairies. Thanks a lot for this beautiful walk with your dad. Take care.
@@Adxm095 She did say at 9:50 that you still have to be careful on certain streets in Riversdale but it is in the process of being improved. This is very accurate.
I envy Alina a little. My father didn't have his sense of humor. Both are/were farm boys, but my father just wasn't born with that personality. And with 10 kids, he also had no option of taking in a beautiful Ukrainian child.
Saskatoon, the best place to raise a family Alina, you turned out ok. It's a city with a small-town charm. As always, informative and fun video. Harriet and I have been and enjoyed our time there. Thank you for sharing this tour with you and Gordy Magoo. Sending you much love from Richmond, Va.❤❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki

Aliña McLeod… I just found your channel, and I have to say… you’re very, very good. I just finished watching an older vlog entitled: “What is life like in Ukraine?” I’m very impressed with your abilities. You’re either well prepared or you have a unique skillset for improvising. There are subtle things that you do so well. You focus on your surroundings instead of yourself, which is so refreshing. Even your editing, and sound are done well. I haven’t watched any of your other vlogs, but I intend to watch them all. By the way, it’s obvious that part of your story is Canada (I Love Canada, my son-in-law is from Nova Scotia). I detected the long vowels, which is a subtle giveaway that I like to hear. Alina, you’re a bright, and beautiful, young Woman. It’s obvious you’re so much more, which makes supporting you, as a patron, an easy choice. You might have spent your formative years in Canada, but there is no doubt, YOU ARE UKRAYINI.
