When I found out this guy was there from the start playing drums, then bass then back to drums, I was completely amazed. If you check out their line up history it's truly quite interesting
Bobby you are the soul of this band and the last remaining OG member please don't stop. The new record is incredible and its because of your drumming and perfect transitions its amazingly satisfying to listen to! Thank you so much!
@@corrupted_mannerism Wrong. Bobby was the OG drummer, switched to bass when Pino came and then back to drums once Pino left. Bobby is an og member. Look it up.

do you sign sticks? would love to buy a pair and support. you are an amazing drummer, thank you for taking the time to film these as a drummer you inspire me to play everyday.
Hey Bobby, love those reimagined drums for "Cesspool..." and the aggresion on the kicks! I have a question tho, what was the reasoning behind changing to strap pedals rather then using direct drive?
The direct drives were just a little too “robotic” for me I guess so I wanted to give these a try and I absolutely love them! And for a fraction of the price of the demon drives, the Redlines have a ton of more options. Definitely more power and slap effect from the belt than the DD
@@bobbycrow3874 thank you for that response. I'm getting new pedals this year, i was thinking about some Tricks. But now, I need to reconsider my decision.
Crazy to think that there’s no original member Bobby is the closest but still that’s wild how that happens random people take over to bed!!! Like Chelsea Grin I don’t even think there is original member
I don't know if you did your own mixing for this track, but a little tip for some nice sounding Toms, if you have fabfilter Saturn, put a bit of saturation on the high end and a small amount of tube drive on the mids, makes those Toms stand out. (also works with any other multiband saturation/distortion plugin)
This was recorded with ONE overhead mic so there was very little ability to control the mix between shells and cymbals, I’ve since upgraded thankfully lol but thanks for the advice!
Random question Bobby, for mounting your rt-30k with the emad, do you have to mod your emad? I usually mount my trigger top center, and clip alittle segment out of the muffling ring in order to mount it normally, and tape up the loose ends, that tend to just get all messy and in the way.
Hey Bobby. You’re fucking killing it out there and sots as a band and you as a drummer are so underrated. May I ask what pedals you’re using and what your pedal settings are ?
@@lightningman212xd6 personally I’d consider 200 fairly fast to play consistently😅 but doubles strokes is literally just doubling the tempo of the single stroke, so 150 singles doubles would be 300, etc.
@@Alex-et1yn so the redlines are really interesting because you can adjust the heel plate (similar to the demon drives but much easier imo) to change the pedals from short board to long boards! They aren’t true long boards in the sense that they still have the heel plate but they feel nearly identical. Personally these have been just as easy for me to play at higher speeds with, but with the benefit of having some added initial attack power thanks to the slight give from the belt, opposed to the strictly mechanical movement of the direct drive demon drives. Mostly I find that these feel much better for slower singles which is a huge issue I had with my previous pedals.
The cover is nice, but when I see Jimmy Pino play, he just has so much more emotion and gives the feeling that he likes playing drums, but this guy right here is like "yea, guess imma play this now ._."
It’s all good, to each their own! I focus a lot more on my technique and playing the parts correctly rather than tossing my sticks around 😂 I promise it’s a different energy on stage than here in my basement 😁

@@paolumo2855 not at all! Here in my basement, the roof is just 1-2 feet above my head, so I can barely even get a full arm extension above my head to really “get into it”. That section right before he does the gravity blasts and is switching back and forth with his left n right hand on the blast beats is absolutely SICK!
SOTS is as better than they’ve ever been and Bobby deserves so much credit for all this work he puts in 🔥 amazing stuff amigo
Agree %1000. So many hard working drummers out there putting in the work but get overlooked for this or that! Great, great stuff!!🤘🥁🖤👀👊🥇

So he would play the live shows and Jimmy would record the drums? Sorry idk rly the history with bro or the band.
His style is so fluid. It’s ridiculous. Good stuff
That heel toe technique is smooth af

best drum playthrough I've seen and heard in a while. very crisp and on point with every tempo. 👌🏻

Such a smooth take bobert!

Love your timing Bobby, can't wait to see you guys in Perth in June!!!
Phenomenal play through! Mix sounds great! Drums on point! Can’t wait for more! Keep it up
SOTS drum playthrough = insta thumbs up
killer!!!
I always respect a drummer that doesn't need kick triggers. Good work!
Usually triggers are intended for clean audio files and easier engineering on time constraints
But it is triggered so now you don't? Lol just teasing. He said in the description it's triggered but you can hear the mic picking them up too
Wow! So fresh bro! You make me wanna drum even more! I love your style! Much love!
Literally making it look like this is so easy for you! Hot damn. Love it.
SO GOOD. LOVING THIS BAND ATM
