I have gone litle bit Snoby. Handmade Japan stile Twichers and Jerks and some old stile jointers ar about all i trow to my trouts. I love this trout vids. Great job
Confidence is probably the key word. However, sometimes, it can be interesting to try something different. We, in Europe, fish trout with "swim baits" up to 145. Gancraft is worth the try in big waters like the j claw 115 or 145. Only a suggestion. As always, great video, great team.
I caught a 12-14" rainbow on a bone whopper plopper 90 last winter in Missouri. So I'm definitely looking to target some browns this fall in Colorado on topwater!
In my experience trout fishing for them big bois here in the South eastern states, I had the most luck on jdm plastics. Due to there being a lot of cover in our rivers, hardbaits just don’t cut it out in majority of our rivers. It’s not impossible, just a pain in the ass when a 20in+ trout takes a Attic Poet 5 under a fallen tree downstream 🙃. So I usually change into a soft jerkbait ( Mylar Minnow, Steez Slugger, etc) either nose hook it or Texas Rig and make skip outta the water like a fleeing baitfish. If you want it to be at the bottom and look like a sculpin/ darter just Neko rig it. The Neko rig is a great replacement for a jig head since the chance of it snagging is greatly reduced
Good stuff. #1 jerkbait for me would be the LC Flashpointer 100sp in MS gun metal shad. It gets deeper than most jerkbaits of the same size. I'm using a 1610 m expride casting rod or a couple other ML casting rods that I got. I like upgrading my hooks with a #6 Aaron Martens g finesse short shank treble, or sometimes adding one MH version. I'm fighting the fish while floating down the river on a kayak. Quicker to the net, the easier it is to revive the fish. For the 110 or 100 Jr Champagne Kinkuro is my favorite. In Michigan we have tannic water, but still very clear water. LOL, you bring up the jackall Deraspin. I have a ton of them for river smallmouth, but only caught a few trout on them. They're a fun little bait that can catch fish anywhere. Great bait for someone new to fishing!
You. Need to come to West Virginia. Here in WV we have trout & small mouth bass in the same rivers and big water it shame the big company's discontinued all the good ultra lite lures and yes they do hit larger lures
Sup doggies you guys are doing awesome job🍻.. I’m about to place a order for some replacement hooks for my lucky craft areas feather tuned & duo realis spin 30.. I was wondering what size hook and what brand to replace for both lures?? thanks again for everything.. sry for the UA-cam name I’m using my daughters account..
I might get killed for revealing this one… I fished in the Lake Michigan harbors for years for big brown trout. I’m talking 10-20 pound class fish. The vision 110, specifically in french pearl, absolutely dominates those harbors from fall through spring. As long as there’s open water, you can catch some of the best trout of your life throwing that bait
I caught gigantic rainbow trout in a creek with a baby albino. In front of fly fisherman. It was so great. They were just smashing the thing. The entire lure would be swallowed.
For big water trout fishing, and by big water I mean like the Tuckaseegee river, i’m probably the the only person who does this. I use a 9ft M/L or L rod paired with a Daiwa 21 Emeraldas 2500LT with 10lb Varivas PE/ Varivas 6lb trout shock leader. Why this setup? Since some rivers here are wide, I need to get some extra distance and I need the rod to be as high as possible since there’s a lot of oddly shaped rocks that makes it tough for certain plastics. It’s also a sick rod for hardbaits and metals.
Came across this show by accident one of the better tackle junky shows out there

❤❤❤ Exactly ❤❤❤
I was burning an lv500 and smoked a giant rainbow at lake shasta during a bass tournament.
GG trout slays! Great video! Love and have all these!
Salty sonic is a great blade bait for trout both sizes
Biggest trout came on a flapslap
I didn’t hear y’all talking about changing hardware this time on jerkbaits, are stock hooks on full-size “bass” jerkbaits good out of the box?
Loved Okinawa lived there 5 yes. They even have a small population of LG mouth bass.
And lots of GT’s!

👍🍻
great video do you guys use any soft plastic baits for trout
Craws are great.
Not sure if I missed it but are they using barbed or barbless hooks on these trout?
Most of the time in Walleye fishing I fish it in a straight retrieve!!!!!
A rat is my favorite trout lure, a 5 inch rat they will crush especially big browns from evening to morning
It’s a super under utilized bait!
110’s are terrific but sometimes because of the fine wire hooks the fish pulls off, especially trout, the go ballistic.
Set your drag for the hooks.
IXI shad catches them too
Let’s gooooo!!!
👊🍻
sweet video''''''
Thank you for watching!
Y'all ever swap the trebles for singles on the jerkbaits?
come catch a big brown on that pink rat . I'll guide you on the blue ribbon of current river Missouri.
That guy says “right” way too much it’s actually annoying to hear “right” after every word. Had to turn off the video it was so annoying
