The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!
Cavy, I really appreciate watching your videos. I enjoy the excitement without the gross obscenities. I guess that, at 65, I am now living vicariously through your videos. Keep me living!

Cavy sick video as always bro. Sorry if you did this before already, but can you give us some info on how you know when a fish needs to go back in the water? Any signs to look out for that the fish is not in good health and needs to be released?
If the fish is injured during the fight perhaps by where the hooks are and there is sign or blood coming from the gills then I will keep this fish. Generally speaking if a fish is in good condition I will always release a fish. I never keep a fish out of the water as long as needed too. So I quickly remove the hooks, sometimes even leave the fish unerwater for this and then a quick picture (video still frame) and released. To prevent the fish from being injured is just by taking care of the fish, things also like using single barbless hooks will help keep the fish in good health. Thanks
Hey cavy, another great video! What I always wonder when I see your reef fishing episodes is if you just walk on the coral reef, and break of loads of coral while doing so, or if you have any method to prevent that?
This is actually my first actual reef fishing episodes. You might be talking about the MorningTide stranded series? For the other ones which in that video there was lots of sand in between coral. There no method by I try steer clear of all the alive coral and stand on the coral head / boulders. Probably not the best regardless but im sure if reefs can handle massive storms and cyclones a few foot prints won't be bad. Cheers
Cheers bro! I like to make videos and share them , feel blessed to fish places like this but you know it's not easy to make dreams happens but it's worth every effort ;) appreciate the positive comment mate. New vid coming soon!
