4:10 Jetboots light fires beneath them, which is more of a novelty mechanic than anything if you want to really insult a bug. It also ignites gas clouds, like that one there, if you try to fly through them. Gunner's shield can actually prevent death by fall, not because of its shield-recharging property but because it just straight up halves all damage you take inside it.
I would agree on the novelty mechanic for the most part. But when I'm playing scout and a swarmer swarm spawns, I am igniting the hell out of those little bastards and praising Karl for blessing me with jet boots
Didn't know about the shield save trick. Gonna have to try that. Hover boots also ignite gas clouds and bugs, not just the Jet boots. My fire build has hover boots as a perk just to set off gas clouds in a cheeky way.

I can't believe no one's mentioned it by now, but you can actually somewhat save yourself from a fall with a Gunner shield. All damage you take in a gunner shield is halved, including fall damage.
Tbh I thought this was a video essay on the 149/150 DD Incident. Not that I'm disappointed, it just that this was the mission that was the definition of "Hopeless" for me.

Due to some bug in spawn system, only 150 morkite spawned, so most people only got 149 morkite, because, well, the way the collected the leftovers of it made it near impossible to get all 150 morkite without the special beer. It was a first "Impossible" mission in DRG history, and people made a lot of fuss about it. Gladly, such thing has never happened again, save for extremely one in a lifetime occurances of it in normal missions.
