on my bmw 323i 98 when i turn the left blinker both the blinkers and break light turn on like if i had my emergency lights on. when i turn the right blinker my break light is the one blinking not the blinker light you happen to know anything about my situation?

hi someone know how to fix reverse lights on BMW E39 I replaced the bulbs and the switch on the gearbox but nothing helps no lights coming on the dashboard like check your reverse lights but it's not showing nothing is cleaned there I have something like on this video is showing me the brake light but the brake lights is working fine only what it's not working is the reverse lights please people help me with this
If you still have that issue make sure to check the wiring in the rubber boot to the trunk they are known for fraying to the point of the wires disconnecting completely.
Can anyone help me? I have 2010e60. I was having the same issue but with whole rare light panel, ground cable was done same way as described. Everything works now and all the errors related to rare light panels were gone(rare fog light, signal light etc) from the display except the brake light error. p.s. : All the lights are working as they suppose to.
Do you know if this extra ground wiring will afect the lights if they really go out? I mean, this will solve the 'fake' fault, but if i really have a faulty light will it show on the dash ?

Very good video of which I repaired my car today. One comment: on the LH side the number of earth wire was number 2. RH is number 3.

i used this to fix my E46. But... apparently there is a BMW recall for the E46 in the USA for this fault
Did you disconnect the battery before messing with the wires?
