Was working all day today. Raids were gone by the time I was done. I’ve missed so many raiding events at this point, I don’t even have FOMO anymore over it

Living in NYC and could literally count the number of "in person raids" for this Pokémon on one hand. Such a let down.
I live outside seattle, there was only 2 6pm raids in my area...that was it! Niantic sucks

I found 20 new friends in person and it was the most social event I can recall since EX raids first came out how many years ago. So... no complaints here
I coul not find any elite raids in the next 5 towns from my location wtf. And its only available on the city area and no one is available in the areas where there is heavy density of people 😂😂😂

A collegue and myself left work early for lunch to get to a raid at 12. We arrived at a raid 30 seconds after it had started and had seen 6 people had joined. 5 seconds before we arrived, the six people must have readied up so we tried to duo it but failed even with party power. After losing the raid, we saw there was a new lobby with 10 people and joined it. However, when the raid started, it was just my colleague and I again, despite us seeing people in the lobby when all our pokemon had fainted.
We then went to join another raid at 1 and joined six people (probably the same from before who readied up quickly), won it and despite 19 balls each with multiple golden razz and excellent throws, we both failed to catch it. We tried again at a 5 o' clock raid but it was just the two of us, so we just said screw Niantic and left. One of the worst experiences in Pogo for us.
This sounds like my experience. It was a dramatic and heart wrenching set of failures that resulted in me not getting Enamorous. I wish I hadn't even tried.
Oh yes, sounds like my experience, where I live it is currently below freezing temperatures. I left 10 minutes early from work to get to the 17.00 raid, raided it with 20 people, it ate up all of my golden rasberrys and I couldn't catch it. I rushed in to another nearby gym where Enamorus still was, I froze there for 20 minutes, but only one other player had showed up, so no raid. Rushed in to another gym that had the 18.00 raid, joined a lobby with 5 people, during the raid when all of my pokemon fainted, my game freezed and I couldn't rejoin the raid, had a white screen of death. Wasted a raid pass on it. Luckily after another 10 minutes of freezing another group of 5 people showed up, we raided, won in the the very last second of the countdown, all of my other berries were eaten up again by Enamorus but still no catch. And on top of it, no special spawns around the gym after the win. So I basically wasted two raid passes, got to freeze for 2 hours for nothing, didn't even get the 30 minutes of bonus spawns. And to top it all off all of my 5 Spinda encounters from the special research were shitty 2* bad stat Spindas. So yeah this event has left a completely bad taste in my mouth.

1 day only, Wednesday in the middle of February when most of thier player base is in a cold climate. Another beautiful Niantic decision.

Shoot, only one of the many elite raid gyms in my area had an Enamorus raid. Awesome.
The one time I actually did an elite raid, Regidrago, it ran away. I barely get any opportunities to do in person raids so I never got another one
I took off work early, went to the area where I usually raid, there were zero elite raids in the entire area. I did mange to find a single raid back in a neighborhood that had a bunch of people in it that I did not see.
why didnt you use campfire to see where there raids?
@@Laineyk I tried campfire, but only 1 other person in my entire town used it. Gyms has rotations, stops get lures every day, but not a single soul dare to use campfire for some unknown reason
@@Laineyk I don't use campfire. I could see all the gyms in the area where I play, and there were none that were elite. Why limit the number of elite raids? Just put them in the darn gyms and let us play!!

Yea I can agree with the comments. It was such bad timing. In my neighborhood NO ONE showed up for the noon or 1 spawns I showed up to both. (all gyms in area were same team as me and they were all minimum health) no one was active at all (at least from my neighborhoods stats) at the later spawns 5-6 I found my friend at the 5 one (we then found no one so we tried to duo it and failed by 5% health was actually such a tragedy) then for the next spawn we did find a raid party size of 9 total so we found 7 others at the very last 15 minutes of the spawn, we then proceeded to beat the spawn, with 9 of us there I am pretty sure only 1 walked away with enamorus, I added the new 7 cause they are I my town and now I'll have people in area who will most likely be at future events/raids, one of them didn't add back so unfortunately he didn't say if he caught it or not, at the end of this paragraph, i just state that I am sadge :( like I was the only one to show up for the first two spawns, could we have not saved it for Saturday? May Ho-oh shine on us one day..
I only managed one raid because I find it difficult to get out and about on my own due to health, but I got the weather boosted hundo! Felt super good after such a dry spell with my luck :’ )

We didn't see any raid in the area I'm living in. I looked at Campfire and I can see over 20 gyms, and no one had Enamorus raids during the evening when I was able to play.
My game crashes mid battle.
The other 4 trainers lost the battle meanwhile I lost my pass and couldn’t get back in because the raid boss was gone. Leave it to Niantic to fuck it up again.
got 3 of them by just driving to random ones and seeing that there were 1 or 2 people also waiting there for others to show up. Most people was 7
Buddy functionality idea / introduction of “bottle caps”:
What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the buddied Pokémon were to find a bottle cap where, when applied, would increase or decrease the buddy’s IVs by 1.
For this idea, let’s say the Km needed to “find a bottle cap” were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained.
For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV change. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. The same math would be applied to reduce IVs for PVP Pokemon.
In addition to finding bottle caps with your buddy walking, perhaps they could be found in other activities by your buddy. Such as spinning stops/ raids/ gym battling / etc. This would also be EXTREMELY rare.
To avoid problems with caught 100%s, the stat changes could be visibly different than normal stats with the following:
* a notation on the Pokémon screen
* different colored IVs showing a bottle cap was applied
* the CP of these bottle capped Pokémon would be -1 of actual 100%s or PVP IVed caught Pokémon
* the 100% bottle capped would not be searchable with 4* but would have a search just for “bottle capped.”
Pros:
- This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon.
- Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex.
- Allows all types of players to get 100%s while also not flooding the player base with actual 100%s.
Cons:
- All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough
- The need to catch all Pokémon would be reduced slightly
If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly.

from my rural town we had 1 raid at 6pm there was no other raid within a 30 minute drive passing through uptown 5 other towns in each direction. the large town approx 45 minutes away had over 20 raids through out the day. it is so damn frustrating that niantic have little to no regard for rural players or their player base in general.
What I've disliked about this release is how random the raid locations were. I'm part of a university group that raid on our campus but ZERO elite eggs spawned on campus. There sure were a lot spawning outside of campus though. I would have been nice if they put more thought into which gyms the eggs spawned in.
Only gyms marked EX Eligible can have Elite raids. (Most, but not all, had them today.)

Was almost able to get it but unfortunately the few people who did it in my town didn’t wait a few extra mins for people to arrive before just doing it lol.
Did some of these as well, maybe more will come in normal raids at a later date like Regieleki and Regidrago.
Also I got a shiny heart pattern Spinda from who knows when, definitely over a year ago, which in case of the shiny becomes a broken heart! Also got a separate 100% Spinda.
Yeah I didn't see a single extra spawn after 2 raids today

I caught this over what I think was a year ago. Then Niantic took it back. It was caught on a remote raid, when you all were at the Vegas event. Sent screen shot of it and the raid to Mystic at the time.
I actually loved Enamorus raid day, It was so awesome seeing so many people in person again. I'm going to disagree with the title right out the gate. Yes, it was inconvenient for a lot of people. But there were four different time slot options. And it was announced early enough that people made it work. People didn't get to do all of them, but that's okay too.
Im hoping Enamorus becomes a valentine's Day tradition in Go
I was on a plane for 10 hours - absolutely zero chance to be anywhere near a raid for this. Elite raids still suck.
I'm betting it will come back, because it has another forme, and because of shiny release.
Kinda expecting it also to be available during Sinnoh Tour, or another Hisuian Event.
Unfortunately no one plays here so couldn't get it, I hate Elite raids and the last few event exclusive pokemon like Drampa where I have to wait for another release.
I live in New Orleans. no one was out because it was ash Wednesday.. we are all exhausted from Mardi Gras..
I wanted to get more but I only managed to get one because the timing just didn't work... The IVs aren't the greatest as well. So hopefully it'll be back soon!

Saw no raids for it at all yesterday, checked at all the correct times but nothing. So I missed out on it I guess.
I ran to do this raid. During the all my Pokemon were beaten I was switching to the next group could not get back to the raid. The raid ended, raid was won. The game crashed and was not able to catch it.
Only managed to do one, and that was because I could reach it from my car at a local park. It was below freezing and super windy.
It was hilarious. I stood with my wife and her mother outside in the snow raiding with couple of other people and yet there were 2 full lobbies of people for each raid. Funny how the ghosts play pokemon go too :D
I had issues 3 time it was extreme rainy and it was keep freezing when clicking on gym so I miss out 3 raids

Thank you for pointing out there are more people in the lobby than there are in the area. Other games use this slimy practice of artificially inflating the numbers. If something about a game feels strange or fake, its a good idea to not ignore it.
I'm sorry so many people had trouble with this elite raid. I had to take off work and was able to get a few during lunch time. It was fun. But I understand not everyone can do that.
Is it safe to say Niantic is incredibly out of touch at this point?
I don't hate elite raids, it's a fun way to bring people together sometimes, but doing an elite raid event on a weekday where most people won't have time for it because of work/school, in favour of "but it's the 14th, it's valentines dayyyy" instead of making it a raid hour thing later in the evening, or a weekend event, is just not very well thought out.
On top of everyone working and no one doing the raids the thing is extremely hard to catch it broke out instantly with all my balls I hit plus seems far from the screen I drove through half hour in traffic just to fight him luckily 10 people showed up in raid (most of them had 2 phones) we got him pretty quickly but he broke out of every ball with golden razz I gave him was hard to hit great throws so I didn’t get all great

this debut on a wednesday is an insult to all of us who are stuck at work most of the day. the two earlier raids were on when i was still at work, and i could only get enough people for the 5 o'clock raid. we have three gyms that were elite raid gyms and only one of those had a 5 o'clock raid. the six of us barely managed to beat the thing but we couldn't make it to the other raids. not everyone lives in places where there are lots of elite raid gyms and not everyone can go raiding all day on a wednesday. i'm glad that i was able to get one but it's really not fair

After an entire day of looking, was only able to find one raid with enough people. Dispite using a golden raspberry every shot and almost every throw was an excellent throw, she broke out of every single ball. Worst time I've had with an event. I hope niantic can learn from all the complaints they're getting, "hope".

Living in a region when 'imaginary friends' are limited, plus as a strict in-person trainer it's a hard skip for me this raid. Will just wait till when it's back.
And you can't remote raid pass it either. Which for me where there are no other local raiders, sucks too...

Considering all of the Elite Raid bosses have exclusive attributes in the main series thus far, this was a Pokemon company decision 100%, not Niantic.

Do 5 raids and got a boosted 100, can’t complain
Saw one of these raids appear at a gym nearby. Went to it, tried 4 times, wasted 80 max revives, and on an attempt that looked promising my game got softlocked and kicked me out of the raid as it ended. All in all these elite raids are not the direction Niantic should push towards.
I actually prefer the elite raids on a weekday. I went to a local park on my lunch break from work. I don't like having to plan my weekends around doing raids
At 5pm i saw after raid spawns.
Anytime I see a shadow or elite raid, I just ignore it… I don’t have that benefit in my city no one plays it lol

This was my first time participating in Elite Raids and I did four. Every single one was a 2 star😭😭
I was lucky enough to get out and have about 75 people show up to our set up get together. Got a lucky 96 on trade. But all in all, this was a terrible day to release it.
Did it with 4 people my 2 accounts were party powered had 10 seconds left on the clock.
Post-Elite spawn bonuses have in my experience never worked.
Not that I agree with its exclusivity but original elite raids (remember the black raid pass) used to be by invite only and at set times usually during working hours during the week.
This release sucked so bad. Had to work and the only raids "around" were so far away or not at times where I was able to go out..... Considering this one I'll never get, just like Armored Mewtwo.....
Only in gyms for one day, but most importantly NOT AVAILABLE IN MOST GYMS! Rural player here: 4 gyms in my small town, ZERO Enamorus raids. Niantic puts Pokémon Go players in different classes; there are lucky citizens, and unlucky citizens, to put it nicely. PS: I have to drive about 25 mi / 40km if I want to raid an EX Gym, with about 20 more rural gyms in between NOT being EX ones!
The funny thing is that EX gyms are located in parks, so urban players are often screwed.

I work in downtown Seattle and I have never even seen an elite raid. Not once.
they only spawn at old EX gyms which are typically in parks, so you won't usually find them in downtown areas

I didn’t want to complain, but I work 12 hour night shifts with plenty of other life errands going on and needed to sleep during the raids
