  • 100 Club Stories is a new video series celebrating some of our favourite stories from friends, artists and music lovers who have experienced something special at the club. This weeks story is from Ady Croasdell who is quite simply a legend.
He is, of course, synonymous with the Northern Soul scene and was co founder of the 6T’s Rhythm and Soul club with the much loved and missed Randy Cozens. He then started the 6T’s Northern Soul All Nighters here 41 years ago, which have become the longest running club night in London.
But Ady has also promoted some of the real greats of Northern Soul live, both here and at various weekenders across the country such as Doris Troy and Maxine Brown. Aside from that his compilation albums for record label Ace and it’s subsidiary Kent, of Northern Soul, R’n’B, 60’s Beat and Motown rarities have become must have items for music lovers young and old.
He is also THE most knowledgeable mind I’ve ever met when it comes to music in general from 50’s Rock’n’Roll to 60’s psychedelia, Punk in the 70’s, New Wave and beyond.
