Reason people believe that headless horseman is Ragnar the red, is because if you follow headless horseman, he take the same route (whiterun to rorikstead) as mentioned in his song.
I played Skyrim for the first time about a month ago. The lore of the TES series is incredible and it's just plain fun to play. The secrets are very fun to learn about too. It's just a great game
Quick lesson in folklore for those interested, the sword in the stone was just an ordinary sword, as I recall it actually breaks, just before Arthur receives Excalibur. The prophecy tied to it was the important bit. Excalibur came from the same lake it was returned to, along with its scabbard which was said to confer a blessing of immortality, however the scabbard was promptly stolen by the evil sorceress Morgana LaFey, who is also the mother of Mordred, Arthur's bastard son from before he married Guinnevere. However he was magically roofied by Morgana (which is also how she got her mitts on the scabbard) so his honour is intact.
Even though I already knew almost everything here, what I really love about your videos is that you don't give away the information straight away but make the atmosphere of a game with your videos and slow paced dialogue. Its the atmosphere of the world that I want to see over again as a viewer, not to just know the pointless secret.
Can confirm I’ve somehow never heard of the Pac-Man cheese (and I’ve watched a LOT of EpicNate…) or the Bard’s Leap. Which I now need to try. Thanks Fizhy!
I have 2 more secrets. If you hatch spiders using destruction magic it'll hatch as an elemental spider. Over on the right side of the map there's a ruin called Anvuild (or something similar) it's north of Riften to the right of the hot springs on the edge. Go there and clear it, half way through you'll get a misc. Quest to kill the "boss" at the end and as a reward you get a Ghostblade. A transparent, rackable weapon. Upgradeable with ectoplasm at a grindstone.
Another thing about the lady of the lake secret, the sword that the arm holds is actually scaled to your level but only when you load the area. It was steel here because you probably got the b-roll around level 5/loaded the chunk at that level. The first time i saw the sword it was an orcish sword because i was around level 10-15. I wouldn't doubt that if you never go near the left side of whiterun, you can scale it all the way up to daedric
If you don't pick it up and fail to return to the area for an entire month then it will reset and respawn as you mentioned. However difficult to do as Whiterun is in the middle of the map and you always seem to go there or near there in some fashion.
There are many and that seems like the natural evolution of a channel like mine, hopefully. More games to branch out easier concerning my content’s variety going forward, gives me a steady stream of ideas & I’ll add to that repertoire with other series & formats that cater to my desire to explore the corners of games that casual players don’t visit.
1:44 This area is a life saver if you are using the Frostfall mod. Labyrinthian area is extremely cold but inside this room it is warm and large enough to set up a secure camp. Just make sure that the mod doesn't make you remove your helm when sleeping.
Skyrim is the ultimate half assed game that was marketed properly and had enough sizzle to hide the fact that the steak was somewhat small and undercooked. Most of the “secrets” in the game are not secrets at all just unfinished quest lines that the programmers couldn’t remove in time for release so they just left them in there unfinished and now they are called “secrets “
It’s always nice to see a more vanilla Skyrim! Mine is pretty modded, like all the towns and such expanded, and landscapes much denser with trees, grass, and forestry.
7/10 for me on this one. Found the headless horseman, mammoth & blackreach dragon on first playthrough. Never knew about the pacman one though but rarely go to Markarth
I knew about all of these except for the pac man one! I'm not sure if I've ever been inside Endon's house now that I think about it. I'll have to go take a look!
Level 80 used to be high, but with all the perk overhaul mods out now with hundreds of perks i usually dont even drop off the dragonstone until around oevel 100
I went into Skyrim based off knowing nothing but that demonstration by Todd Howard, I only played GTA And Need For Speed back then You can imagine how stunned I was when I finally played it, changed everything for me in gaming, even other media
Likewise my dude! I was 17 at release and my friends and I all just played CoD and Halo, but then over the Christmas/Summer holidays we all got it. For 6 weeks we were all playing, and completing the most dragon kills, Shout unlocks, and dragon priest masks. Man…. That summer was great. So many parties, events, games, and then all the fun with my girlfriend! Man I’m getting all nostalgic now 😂
When I first played the game (must have been 2012, it was a bit after the game launched), one of the first things I came across whilst exploring at night was the headless horseman, it was an odd feeling but it made me infinitely more interested in the game.
Given how old Skyrim has become, many of these are widely known. Still, back in 2012-13 (Can't remember exactly when I played it) this blew my mind lol, for some time I was all about open world games before eventually falling back on action and shooters.
I don’t dispute they’re widely known, many won’t know about them just the same & even today games of this calibre pick up new players. I like secrets in games so I wanted to make the video regardless of relevance or views for personal satisfaction.
Can you do a second secrets list for mass effect? I recently beat all three games on the legendary edition and I feel like I just want to know more about the games secrets
I found a reference to LOTR/Hobbit once in a dungeon, but unfortunately I forgot where It was a special ring and something else on a ledge, off to the left of the main path Anyone seen this before?
The more I've played over the years, the more I realize this amazing game is also an incredibly shallow rpg. Still go back to it every few years though.
@@SamDy99 I'd argue Skyrim was shallow compared to older RPGs, too, in fairness. Still brilliant and I love the game for a million other reasons, depth in RPG mechanics has never been its strong suit, even compared to older Elder Scrolls titles like Morrowind.
Was genuinely disappointed at first because it seemed I knew all these secrets, but I absolutely did not know about the ghost who talked to you if you jumped off Bards Leap. I was literally asking myself why I still bother watching skyrim secret videos since I know so much about this game, and Im reminded that even in the hours of content I've watched, played and read, there's still things to discover
You know you have played too much Skyrim when you know all these secrets, or you have just watched one too many "Skyrim Secrets Many Players Missed" videos lol
Woah, I didn't know you were releasing these other videos. I don't know why but I have only been getting notifications for the livestreams you do and I thought that's all you're doing these days. I am not interested in them so I ignored them until today when I had had enough and thought of unsubbing. Fortunately I checked out this channel one last time hoping for some redemption and I'm glad I did! This is better! I don't know wth is up with the algorithm man...
Yeah it's a shame but I never stopped making videos, not even for a little bit. Ironically, streaming is the aspect of content creation I have a touch & go relationship with. I'll go through phases of streaming more often & phases of not streaming at all. For about a year I exclusively streamed on Twitch and only recently started streaming on UA-cam again, but never at the expense of actual video content.
Title is just to get YT algorithm kicked up the ass so it shows it to more people. But on a side note I didn't know 3 of them after many hours and playthroughs of the game over the past years.
