کسب کمال کن کہ عزیز جان شوئی۔ امیر خسرو جیسے تو صدیوں بعد پیدا ھوتے ھیں۔ لیکن گوپی چند نارنگ صاحب جیسے ادب شناس اور قدر شناس بھی روز روز نہیں پیدا ھوتے۔ ان کا کمال ھے کہ امیر خسرو کو اس خوبصورت انداز میں بیان کیا اور ایسے ایسے پہلو پر روشنی ڈالی کہ یہ مختصر لیکچر نہ صرف جید علما و ادبا بلکہ عوام الناس کے لیئے بھی مفید ھے۔ اللہ ھند و پاک کی سرزمین کو گوپی چند نارنگ صاحب جیسے نگینوں سے مزید نوازے۔ امین۔

Masha Allah. Ameer Khusro's poetry is excellent. He is the father of Hindi ( Khari Boli ) then known as Hindvi . " Kaun jaanwar aesa jis ki dum par paisa " --- मोर , مور , Peacock . ( This puzzle of our childhood time was created by Ameer Khusro ).

I talked with Narang Sahab. He was a great Scholar of Urdu Language, Process in Jamia Millia Islamia and Chairman, Saahitya Academy, Delhi.
I always knew Narang Sahab as an authority over the Sikh History only What a Sweet surprise to see him as an Authority over the Great Khusro sahib too. Ambassador (Rtd)HVSManral.
Remarkable insights of great scholar of Urdu; realised Amir Khusrow is as important to establishing Hindvi/Urdu as Ferdowsi was to modern Farsi or Shakespeare to modern English. It's a tragedy that only a quarter of his literary work survived but remarkably his real legacy of innovations in music and contributions to the language are still with us. Equally, he was first to not only declare himself Hindi (Indian) but also categorise both northern & southern Indian language as such.

This is the Hindustan you feel proud to be associated with. A literary an intellectual Hindustan, a land with such a strong heritage. Urdu is a language of philosophers, poets, artists and singers. So what if Urdu has a strong Muslim influence and associations but its birthplace is Hindustan. This makes it a Hindustani. People of India are loosing this treasure because of narrow minded world view of Hindustani rich culture.

No doubt he was a multi faceted personality - poet, historian, writer and a great political survivor! He survived 7 political masters and surprise was favourite of all! Nothing less than a miracle; unparalleled in history! You can eulogise him on and on but behind the great works does not lie a great man. He was a religious zealot who very cunningly donned local robes of Khadi Boli and peddled his conversion cocktail in “Chhap Tilak Mose chhini…” unabashedly! Like a conman he succeeded! Be it demolition and desecration of revered Somnath Temple his Islamic historian was savouring every moment of demolition when he writes about these barbaric acts of violence and persecution! His views on “Johar” self immolation are not only perverse but outright disgusting! So whom you are trying to immortalise- a man though may be a literary giant but on humanity scale he was diminutive and a self-defacing religious zealot!
