- Filmed out the window of a Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300ER landing at SeaTac Airport in Seattle, WA flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands in September, 2011. This was the smoothest trans-oceanic flight I've ever taken. After we reached cruising altitude the captain turned off the seatbelt sign, and it remained off for the entire flight until we were in descent in to Seattle. This caused the atmosphere in the back economy section of the airplane to become a little party-like at times, with people standing up and walking around and visiting. It was a great flight and Delta is a great airline. We hope to return to Amsterdam soon on the non-stop from Seattle!!
That is terrific video. Nice SB landing.
I used to live near Sea-Tac. In fact, My house was just to the right of the southern approach to Sea-Tac. When I would be returning home and coming in from the South, I could look down to see if my wife had left to pick me up. We lived only a 15 minute drive from the airport. Now I live near Kansas City (grandkids) and it takes me almost an hour to drive to KCI or MCI whatever you want to call it. I really want to move back to Washington. But living here puts me in equal flight time to either coast or Florida, which makes it nice. No more five hour flights.
+Rich Greene I live 20 minutes from SJC and now they just started BA and Lufthansa to Europe and are bringing more flights to Europe nonstop. Also to SFO its about a 35 minute to 40 minute drive so not too bad. On most international flights from SFO from Customs to Home is about 90-120 minutes give or take.
Going to SFO its about 90 minutes from home to the airline club at SFO.
Great views approaching from the south coming into SeaTac. That's a hell of a haul from Amsterdam or did you stop on the east coast ? Hope you said hello to Boeing Field as you came in !
Taking the great circle route, it's only about a 9.5 hour flight.
No, that was actually an approach from the north......as he passes the 520 floating bridge at 1:49, Bellevue at 2:48, and Boeing Field at 4:18.
Cool video....well done.
As of 12 July 2014, Delta writes that they fly Airbuses from SEA to AMS.
They do now. They used to have two daily flights to AMS from SEA. One an A330 and the other a B767-300. I chose the A330 on the way over (we landed just before 8AM at AMS) and I chose the B767 for the flight home, as I'd never flown on one. Loved the B767, A330 just OK (though not a bad airliner at all, I just prefer Boeing).
Nice video. I wonder if Delta still uses the 767 for its AMS flights or did they switch over to the A330 for it?
great video what was the flight number and no rain in Seattle
I was on the same approach from Beijing.
Well it is but a 767 can't land on the farthest runway it would be too short
I saw my street
That's not a delta plane
What makes you think that it isn't a Delta 767?
Its funny why they announce the day when you arrive if its the same day you departed. What idiots can't do the simple math and add 10 hours to the local time of departure and minus 9 from that time? Thats how I calculate my flight arrival time(:.
great video what was the flight number and no rain in Seattle
