wrestling isnt as big money thats why the weigh in is on the day of the meet i assume. It is difficult to cancel a major boxing fight so they make the weigh in the day before i guess so if they need to cancel at least they got a day to reorganise.

Davis demands an even playing field you really can’t hate the guy for that in a sport full of so many dirty tricks going on at once. Without the clause it guarantees one of them will go in the ring beefed up and it isn’t ever going to be Davis. The trend of big men willingly draining themselves to stay in lower divisions for a slight edge needs to stop.

@youncy5170 Very simple the rules are a fighter has to weigh in said weight the day before the fight period. Their is no rule on how much a fighter can rehydrate to on fight night (Accept with the IBF). So going by the rules, yes it does not matter how much a fighter weighs on fight night. I would go a step further and say it physically is more of a disadvantage the more weight you have to lose, hence the reason Ryan stated he was not going to drain himself make the weight.
