"You can't play everyone"
Spain gave minutes to 25 of their 26-man squad (only their 3rd choice keeper missed out). The point is that you can't make the excuse of players being tired after the game when you had the opportunity to substitute them during the game.
Southgate did this earlier in the tournament too, when he said that England were low energy in the 2nd half, but the only change he made was to bring Gallagher on. It's simply not good enough, and the same old tired excuses (pardon the pun).

Agreed. Southgate ran the players into the ground. He should have kept Kane resting and recovering, given the fit in form Watkins some games to start, and he should have rotated Foden and Bellingham to keep them fresh. etc. etc.
OH and lets not forget the whole "he's brought the team together", while he and his Assistant shite the bed with Ben White's treatment, who would have been a great rotation and fresh legs for Walker.

so bizzarre. Phillips was the right pick in 2021 because he was fit and in form. Now other players are . Belllingham and foden could have played in Midfield alongside Rice, with Watkins, Gordon and Bowen upfront. Would have terrified teams. Or Wharton Rice Bellingham with Foden as the 10 and Bowen and Watkins up front. We'd have scored a ton of goals that way.

Bro, the manager played the same 9/10 players for 7 games. They’re tired. Stones and Rice haven’t gotten a break. If a boxer (not named Floyd Mayweather) goes into a boxing match to defend 11/12 rounds, there’s a strong likelihood that he’ll get knocked out. Attack with Gordon and Eze. If you lose, you lose….but you lose on the front foot.

Because he scores a lot of penalties, tap ins and unmarked back post headers.
He’s always looking lethargic to the point of exhaustion. And exhausted to the point of struggling to even run.
He has no speed and can’t outrun any opponents even CB’s.
He has no skill moves and so can’t beat anyone on the dribble.
He has so strength or physical presence and so can’t win air balls, 50/50s or hold up the ball with his back to goals.
This causes him to drop deep to avoid the CB’s who bully him.
When he has the ball he always has his head down and either is tackled, gives away possession or makes a long switching pass with about 50% success rate.
He always shoots with his head down and so often has shots blocked.
His favourite move is caught from behind while dribbling and falling forward on top of the ball and grabbing it to try and win a foul.

He’s been doing this for years. He still scores a lot of poacher goals and against weak opponents.

I hear what you’re saying but his job is to score goals, that’s really it. The problem is far too many people these days think there are a plethora of players out there banging in goals. The very real reality is there aren’t many players in the entire world who consistently score. Kane is one of those players.

The six shared golden boot is irrelevant, this is the problem about focusing on the individual all the time. Watkins and Palmer should of started the game if England really wanted to win the final.

Either play Kane in a formation, with players that suit him or don't play him. He requires quick wingers and space to drop into the 10 position. He is world class when he plays like this. He cannot play when no one runs past him. The Spanish defense played the whole game infront of them, too easy.

Last minute winners are ok but if you cant win mosf games in normal time there is something wrong. Southgate needs to step down, because:
1) He didnt bring a fit Left back (ie Mitchell)
2) He refused to start another striker ahead of Kane. When Kane was clearly a passenger the whole tournament.
3) He also wasn't brave enough to bench Foden. Eze, Palmer and Gordon would have been better.
4) Should of given Wharton a game or 20mins or so, as he has a great passing range and England needed creativity.
5) The players who came on late and helped to score werent given more time as they were the ones who got England where they were.
6) Tactics to play defensively but have no pace up top is a sackable offence by itself.

At a certain point, people need to actually start realizing there are hardly any truly elite number 9’s anymore and scoring is extremely difficult.

People this week calling Kane Englands greatest player - have a word! He was shite all tournament and should be no where near the squad. In the first half he lost possession three times, barely broke his stride and spent the majority of half walking in the centre circle.

I’ve just watched Tour de France cyclists ride over 5 mountain passes and they do this day in day out. Our young players are knackered after 45 mins. Something is wrong with their fitness. At their age they should be ok to play a full game. What is SG doing with them?

None of them were won by England, despite the fact that they had the highest value squad in the entire competition (in terms of transfer value and wages). With a proper manager that England squad would win the premier league. Slovakia and Slovenia would get relegated from it.

Ultimately, there are lots of reasons why we didn't win last night, Southgate is one of them, but not the only issue. The journalists should really question why they weren't constantly asking about Kanes' obvious injury issues. We were playing with ten men for most of the tournament.

100% Spot on. Nobody remembers the winners opponents in the group stages, quarters, semis. Winning teams don't make excuses. Kane starting every game and getting long minutes was a massive mistake. You had Watkins, Palmer and Toney warming that bench for a month in Germany. Southgate makes wrong decisions and even worse, he makes no decision. Time for the FA to move on and lets not waste this massive pool of young talent.

We were dreadful throughout this tournament and the cracks really were covered over by miracle moments like the Bellingham goal. That being said, Spain were just a much more deserving, better playing team who would probably have beaten us even if we put up a good performance. It shouldn’t go unnoticed that not only were Spain undefeated but they have just beaten Germany, France and England to win the Euros, that’s just an unbelievable run.
Klopp is available on a part time basis he will know all the players already and can take the pressure of the job.
Klopp would win the world cup with this set of players. And if somehow he didn't, it would be incredibly fun to watch.
Personnaly, I'm truly dissapointed with kane. He wasn't holding up the ball, wasn't winning headers, wasn't pressing and I think he looked really sluggish

When we scored. Spain were in shock . We all were . They wobbled and we did not take advantage . Yes we had one more chance but to ease off at that time was criminal. Kane hardly broke sweat. He has been wooden legged for a while.
