Me too, one of my favourite films. Period. No arguments. Call me mad but I watch parts of this, and the other one several times each and every month.

Just noticed Mike Rockenfeller saying to Howden Haynes " H, you fucking bastard" brilliant, just wonderful the emotions.

Ulrich Baretsky saying " it's simply the best. It's him." Referring to the great Tom Kristensen of course.

For anyone interested this appears to be the enhanced version. It contains the necessary swearing, and if I remember correctly has a small amount of additional scenes. They used to be titled as such, but are not anymore. I don't know why.

    Awesome!
    Keep up the good work!
Remember - gearheads/ petrolheads ALWAYS like to watch a story about an amazing car/team/race/driver etc.
This is one of the best, if not the best documentary on Le Mans I've seen yet. I am only 2 minutes into the video but I will be watching the entire show again, and keeping an eye and ear open for what ESPN left out.
I don't know if you're in America or Europe - but for all European people, please know that ESPN ABSOLUTELY SUCKS AT COVERING MOTORSPORT! They have rights to f1 and luckily they just broadcast the Sky Sports version. They cut to advertisements at the WORST times - like if someone goes off track, they instantly go to showing ads. I can't stand it.
Tell us who flew off the road - show us a replay - and go to advertising AFTER the full course yellow is out and everyone is queued behind the safety car.
Anyway - thank you for posting this content!

Appreciate the kind words! I am from the United States and have seen almost every form of motorsports that they've broadcast over the years. I'd say the worst was back back in the ALMS days, when most of the races were reduced to streaming-only. Can't really blame them for the parts they cut out of this documentary. TV time slots are very particular and the biggest difference you'll likely notice is that they didn't censor the commentary in this version. I uploaded the exact same thing about four years ago to this channel but this one is in 1080p rather than 720p, so it just looks a little bit crisper on a large screen. This documentary and the sequel to it are two of my all time favorite movies period. Big Audi LMP1 fan and they were produced very well. Can't go wrong with Statham commentary either. Enjoy!

@@ChrisFilm01 the alms days had thier highs and lows... In my opinion one of the low points was the 2014 - 2016 seasons - not for the lack of good racing. There was LOTS of great racing and quite a few nail biting, last - lap - pass for the lead kinda stuff... But the TV coverage was even worse than it is now! I understand that motorsports are never going to be as popular as football, baseball, even soccer and hockey get better TV ratings I'm sure.... But I've seen NBC cut away from the final few laps of an IMSA race and go to rugby, or tennis, or FUCKIN FIGURE SKATING FOR FUKS SAKE! UGH! The only races that will never get "pre - empted" are the Daytona 24, Sebring 12 and the final race of the season, wherever they hold the last race. It's a shame.
If NBC Sports had a weekly 30 minute "IMSA Paddock Show" type thing... Like how nascar has a couple retired drivers sit down and talk about the cars, what makes them unique, what makes them fast, etc and introduce the drivers to the more casual fans, I seriously think imsa could overtake nascar in 10-15 years in terms of popularity. The racing is certainly better and not manufactured like nascar stage racing playoff crap.
Imsa should race on all the same road courses and street tracks as the indycars... If imsa followed Indycar and was ALWAYS the Saturday race before the Sunday Indycar race - and people could follow easier and know what tracks are what - the Indycar fans are the fans imsa should be going after. Unfortunately being owned by nascar means that nascar will keep imsa small on purpose, so imsa doesn't take market share away from nascar. But if.. Only if... Imsa could follow Indycar. It would be awesome - and on the weeks where Indycar is racing on an oval, imsa can go to road Atlanta for petit le mans, Sebring, Mosport (Canadian Tire race park or whatever it's called) and all the other tracks Indycar doesn't race at. But have the imsa races on SATURDAY and never have them at the same time as an Indycar race. Forget nascar and the fans, nascar is going downhill and Indycar is about to REALLY get good now that Penske owns it.
If only he could buy imsa too... We'd have ACO /FIA spec P1 cars and the privateer teams could run DPi cars with a 300-400hp hybrid system added to the front axle. Imsa would do it as a spec part instead of letting teams design thier own, and spending millions in the process. Spec racing works - just look at Indycar and imsa. Even nascar.
Then look at f1. F1 spends billions every year and there's MORE passes made in ONE indy 500 or Daytona 24 than all of the passes of all the f1 cars combined over the entire season.
Rant over. Lol I just really, REALLY appreciate you uploading this stuff and the full length races you post - I literally watch an old alms, grand am, trans am or imsa race every night! Well not every night - I do watch the spa 12 hrs, le mans 24 obviously, and "smaller" races like WEC and especially the old imsa gtp races from about 1984-1992/93.... That was the best Era of sportscar /prototype and gt racing EVER.
1000+hp Nissan Zx-turbo, the RC92P, the Gurney Eagle Toyotas, the corvette gtp, the Porsche 962, the jaguars - ESPECIALLY the xj-14 with its screaming Cossie V8! The best looking race car ever in my opinion... And so, so fast!
Anyway - keep posting races and documentaries and anything and everything you have and can find about racing!
I've looked for the 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016 le mans 24 races but nobody has posted them. The wec page posted the 2018 and 2019 races, and people with racing UA-cam channels like yours have posted the audi vs peugeot 2007-2011 races. Basically every le mans from 1998 - 2011 is on UA-cam - we're missing the 80s races - which would be AWESOME because I've never watched a le mans race without the chicanes on the straight - I wanna see the 962's hitting 240+mph down that 4 mile long straightaway!
So - request for any pre - 1998 le mans races - as any from the WEC Era from 2012 - 2016... Except 2013. That's been posted by wec themselves for some reason - but not 2014, 15 or 16. Then they posted 17, 18 and 19's races.. Do you have the 2016 race when Toyota dies on the 2nd to last lap of the race?

@@ChrisFilm01 I'm also a big Audi P1 fan - all the way back in 1999 when they debuted the R8 in le mans... Remember that R8 Coupe?! Good lord that was a good looking race car! I really liked the R18's from the 2012 - 2015 range, before they adopted that super high nose in 2016 and promptly quit on us! Stupid diesel gate... Stupid Volkswagen... We'd have 1500hp diesel hybrid Audi R20's or whatever they'd call em by now if VW wouldn't have f'd everything up! Damn you Volkswagen!

I do actually have every Le Mans from 2010 to 2018 on my hard drive. It seems like everything after 2011 will get you a copyright strike though because I have tried to upload 2012-2015 before. I'm hoping someday, the WEC will upload some of the older races to their own channel.

@@ChrisFilm01 that's weird - they allow the 2011 race to be on here, and they posted 2013, 2017-19 themselves... Wec is not very good with online content and the highlight videos are terrible - I just wait a month for them to upload the race in its full version.
Maybe audi said no to those races being on UA-cam because Porsche kicked their ass.
F1 up loaders put a border around the screen to get around copyright stuff but it's kinda weird... But at least the race is watchable. I'm sure they get copyright problems though eventually once FOM finds the video
