- Hull Bow Section Built! - Ocean Liner Build - Part 1
Lets start the build of our first ever ocean liner in Stormworks. This thing is going to be much bigger than originally thought. We're then going to have to build a stern in the next part. We also split it into multiple decks so we can already section off multiple classes.

@@RandomStuffUploadedOfficalIronic, I’m the opposite, I actually make ships in real life (I am a Naval Architect/Engineer) but don’t play Stormworks lol. Saw your stuff on the workshop and looks awesome man, keep up the good work!

I think u should name it the SS Frantico in memory to the frantico oil series ending.
Really not bad. I'd suggest to use the bottom deck for the machinery and the hold for cargo and food, the bow up to the cargo hatch for the crew, the middle deck at midship for 2° class, the stern for 3° class and the upper deck and superstructures for 1° class. And don't forget the spaces for the officers right behind the bridge
I would highly suggest using liners from 1899-1910 as inspiration. My main recomendations would be WSL's big four Cedric, Celtic, Baltic, Adriatic or something like Oceanic of 1899. That way you capture the looks and vibes of a classic liner without entering the territory of the larger liners like the Olympic class. Would probably work well for a non modded work bench.
I’m actually creating a pretty large ocean liner based on the Celtic and Cedric on a modded workbench! I’m gonna release it on the workshop when it’s done. I’ve already finished a bit of it and I’m planning on having many cool features 🤭

Royal Frantic - Melody of the Seas
Ocean Liners are about business, cruise ships are about fun. long thinner helps accentuate that feel of getting From A to B. look up Empress Of Ireland as a inspiration, looks about same size feel.
RMS FRANTICA would be a cool name.
So glad youre finally making an ocean liner! The bow looks great! Im definitely curious to see how you go about the stern, ships from this era tend to be rather elaborate.
I think it looks nice so far. When you use the modded work bench, build a basic shape of the whole thing so you can see how it all fits together
When you get the entire hull done you should sink it to see how much time you got to do what you need to before the boat goes down (just a cool idea i had)
In case you didnt know, the hull of an ocean is a dark colour because they used to load coal through the side of the ship which would leave sut marks

If you make it wider, you should make the bottom wider than the top, mostly because so that the ship will be more stable both in and out of the water, but also for a bit of accessory, also you could add the crew rooms there if you actually do my suggestion

hey frantic! i found some cruise ships on the workshop they work but the issue with the soregin class has the starters in the engine room and the engine room is hard to reach

Loved the video @FranticMatty! Can't wait for the next video man! Looks like you've placed an order for at least 3 Ocean Liners with FJ Warner Drydocks. If you're looking for Name Recommendations for the Ships of the Class, here's what I'd go for.
The Frantico-class Ocean Liners of Frantic Wind Lines:
• MV Frantico.
• MV Miss Charlottie.
• MV Spanner.
The Projected Characteristics of the Class are similar to that of Ships like the Blue Star Lines' Brisbane Star-class Refrigerated Cargo Ships, MV Brisbane Star and MV Melbourne Star, from World War Two, with a Maximum speed of at least 16 Knots (18.4 mph, 29.892 Kph or 8.303 m/s), 12,800 Gross Register Tonnage (GRT) with another 11,600 GRT under Deck but Instead of the 2 10-cylinder Marine Diesel Engines the Brisbane Star-class Liners had, the Frantico-class Liners might be given 2 Triple Expansion Steam Engines but still retain the 2 Screws. The Ships are also supposed to be given Wireless Direction Finding, Echo Sounding and a Gyrocompass as part of their Equipment as well as have Space for Defensively Equipped Merchant Ships (DEMS) Armament in times of War. Given the Sheer size that they are expected to be, this would Normally be 4 Bofors 40 millimeter Anti-Aircraft Guns in either Single or Twin Mounts, However, that may or may not be the case. The Frantic Fleet Auxiliary (FFA) has three possible Armament Arrangements for the Ships, depending upon when, where and how they'll be needed.
One Plan is to make them Heavily Armed for the DEMS, proposing 2 4.7 inch/45 Caliber Guns, 4 Twin and 4 Single Mount 40 millimeter/60 Caliber Bofors Anti-Aircraft Guns and up to 8 Single 20 millimeter/70 Caliber Oerlikon Anti-Aircraft Guns. Another Plan proposes that they be Fitted out for Amphibious Assaults by having their Davits be able to handle the British Landing Craft Assault (LCA) and American Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP) and Landing Craft Mechanized Mark 3 (LCM 3) in addition to the Aforementioned Armament, thus making them Landing Ship Infantry (Large) (LSI(L)).
Whatever the Case, the Ships are still under Construction, with MV Frantico's Keel having been Laid down only a few Hours ago, so it's still WAAAYYY too early to tell how they'll even look when Completed.
What we do know is that Frantic Wind Lines is a New Ocean Line and that they are getting started.
The Three Decks Below are probably going to be Arranged as Follows:
• 3rd Deck will probably be for the Machinery and Engineering Spaces.
• 2nd Deck will probably be for Crew and Cargo/Stores.
• 1st Deck will probably be for 3rd Class Accommodation, at least around the Midships area. It's Expected that the Bow and Stern of the Ships will have Cargo Holds which will go down into the 2nd Deck. The Hatches are likely going to be about 3 Blocks (.75 meters) tall, and Large Enough to get roughly 2 or 3 Cargo Containers inside.
The Superstructure is most likely where the Second and First Class Accommodations will be located, with the First Class being in the Upper portions and Second Class being near the Deck.
If you need to Join the Parts of Each Ship Together, you can try using the Hardpoints and Hardpoint Connectors from the Weapons DLC. Just remember to account for a 1 block Gap between each Connection when doing so.
