Keep trying at it dude. One of the best baits I've ever used by far, in almost any type of water. Better for shallow areas though I've noticed, especially with rocky bottoms. Good luck Logan!
I use a 1/16 oz bullet weight and a weight stopper to get it down deeper which helped alot when casting it usually get the bite off rip due to the quick dive it does with the weight on it! Hope this tip helps
This is a great spawn lure, swim it slow around beds or maybe jerk it like a jerkbait around beds as well. It has always worked for me during spawning months👍
There is a video out interviewing the guy that developed the baby bull shad, and he said you should wake bait it as an escaping bait fish for it to be most effective.
Seems to be an SLX DC reel. The DC braking system makes that noise. I have two SLX DC reels and I love them. Edit: Brand is Shimano, Ian. Edit 2: curious what gear ratio this SLX DC is in. Just picked up some of these myself (bull shads) trying to pick what reel I want to throw them on. I have an 8.2 and 6.3 SLX DC
@@amp3225 I like to throw them on a 7.2 gear ratio reel. I have a few slx dc’s and the 7.2 give me control over swimming it too fast but at the same time I can burn it if I need too
try using lighter line like 12 lb-14 with a loop knot or a snap lock.i like it on my medium action(crankbait rod) because of the small trebles.best time to throw it right now(fall)!good luck
@@jkittle05 the guy who designed and makes these made a video showing how he fishes them, he reels them fast right on top, or 6 inches under the top of the water
My mans, that lure slaughters fish when I use it. I tend to fish it like a lipless: I pull to the side, reel slack, pull to the side, reel slack. Seems to get SMACKED right after the pause every time. Stick with the swimbaits around spring and fall transitions for best results though from my experience.
@@dylandude6861 in Georgia I do bluegill is spring and shad colors in fall. Always have decent luck. The bluegill eat bass eggs. Then after the bass spawn, the bluegill move up to spawn. So literal all spring I use dark colors. And in the fall, shad start dying and it's an easy meal for bass. But shad colors really work all year long honestly.
Dude fire vid sometimes you don't talk enough but this one was great also since there was so much grass try a soft body swimbait on tackle warehouse there are swimbaits by scottsboro and they look good swim good and are budget friendly
The maker of the bait says fish it towards the top and fast. So don't let it sink much. And burn it in. Watch tactical Bassin's video where they have the owner in the boat showing you how to fish it. That is what he says. Towards the top and fast.
You have to give it more action, you did way to much of just steady fast reeling with no jerking which makes your lure look pretty boring instead of a half dead fish trying to swim
I fished this unconventional.. on. 8:1:1 with 50 pound braided line in about 4 foot of water.. pearl bone… fished it fast looked like a wake bait.. and it hammered fish. Especially where I would just dead stop and give it a couple jerks then rip it through had fish miss it and casted right over same method and trust and believe they didn’t miss it.

That baby bull shad is killer, I’ve caught countless biggins on it!!
It’s a great little swim bait

Thanks I’ll definitely have to try this out🤙🏻
Pattern recommendations for south Carolina?
Thanks for the tips, the Jon boat deck is awesome 👍
Thanks🤙🏻
One way Mike Bucca says to fish the bull shad is to burn it near the surface like a fleeing baitfish, that is why it sinks so slow.
Mike Bucca did a video with tacticalbassin and he fishes his shads fast and shallow. Great video.
Thanks
hay do those baby bull shads have a sink, slow sink or a topwater action
also the savage gear glide swimmer is a cheap and effective option
It does both🤙🏻
@@LoganAndersonFishing thanks!
Wow big bass...👍👍👍.... how many pound main line you use bro...?
Thanks and I usually use 20lb fluorocarbon
This is a great spawn lure, swim it slow around beds or maybe jerk it like a jerkbait around beds as well. It has always worked for me during spawning months👍
🤙🏻🤙🏻
I love that boat. It looks way more comfortable than any Jon boat. I like how you can walk on it unlike mine where I have to step over everything 😂
Thank you!🤙🏻
Amazing video man keep it up !!!
Thank you!
Logan Anderson Fishing ofc Logan!
One of the few lures I always catch fish with.
🤙🏻🤙🏻
What kind of reel are you using?
Slx dc
Logan Anderson Fishing thanks for the feed back I’ve asked so many other youtubers the same question, your the first on to reply thanks man
You can also peg a weight to it so it will sink faster and you can fish it deeper.
🤙🏻🤙🏻
love that lure and fire vid!!!
Thank you!
academy brand has some really good hard swimsuits fro like 5 bucks
I’ve seen them what are the best colors
@@LoganAndersonFishing I like the red eared sunfish one
🤙🏻
Karls has them for like 8 dollars
They do make pretty good baits i love the h2o Xpress brnad
another nice vid
Thank you🤙🏻
Hey bro what boat do you use I’m looking at my options out here
A jon boat
Your supposed to use it in a shad lake like Clark’s hill in ga
There is a video out interviewing the guy that developed the baby bull shad, and he said you should wake bait it as an escaping bait fish for it to be most effective.
Are those aftermarket bearings that make your reel sound like that when you cast? Or is it a certain brand/model of reel that sounds that way?
It’s the reel

Great video Logan 💯💯 I feel the same way about that bait. I like it just thought it would perform better 👍💯
Thanks
Is that the slx dc?
It is🤙🏻
How do you like it? Is it worth $190? Thanks for responding fast that’s awesome
I love it I’ve almost had it a year and it’s been killing it everyday👊🏻
Thanks. I’ve been thinking about getting one and that helps make my decision👊🏽🎣
Like that transition you did with the Lofi transition music
Thank you!🤙🏻👊🏻
I started watching you about a month ago and I watched all of your videos already
Thank you appreciate it🤙🏻
It's meant to be fished fast and near the top of the water column. From the horse's mouth:
ua-cam.com/video/k3oqxt9oIaQ/v-deo.html
🤙🏻
Also don’t be surprised if you only get a couple or even 0 bites fishing bigger baits. They aren’t meant to catch numbers, but bigger fish. Good luck!
Yeah one of the reasons I want to get a few to try out I want to target the bigs
Hey bro you gotta fish that in the fall and spring a lot better fishing they smoke that think in the fall
🤙🏻🤙🏻
The river to sea s waver is a great glide bait that doesn’t break the bank, it works great too.
🤙🏻🤙🏻
Whst about that 3dbluegill swimbait at bass pro
Try the gillroid bluegill swimbait it is cheap and catches monsters
I’ll check it out🤙🏻
@@franksfishing8893 well it is cheaper than most good ones

Just spend a lot on a weedless hud and u won’t lose it
Somehow I haven’t lost it yet😂🤙🏻
one of my favorite lures
It’s so realistic it’s crazy😂🤙🏻
Logan Anderson Fishing for sure i like to reel it almost on top of the water that seems to work the best for me
@@jkittle05 the guy who designed and makes these made a video showing how he fishes them, he reels them fast right on top, or 6 inches under the top of the water
Next time try using line no heavier than 10# test and tie it on with a loop knot and it will swim a lot more side to side.
U use 10 lb here n a pike is gonna own it
River 2 Sea s waver is a really popular glide bait, it’s also pretty affordable

Thanks will do!
Academy sports has some nice hard swim baits.
Yeah which ones you recommend?
I think it’s called Panfish
arashi glide by storm is the best for the money (about 45-50)
You mean worst for the money
Academy has a jointed swim bate
Have you ever used them?
Logan Anderson Fishing no not yet but there like 5 dollars
I’ll have to check them out
Logan Anderson Fishing can you make a video out of it??
Yeah great idea
What knot you tie on for swimbaits
Palomar
This bait is designed to burn with occasional pauses force their reaction strike response
A really good swimbait on the cheaper side is the river2sea s-waver 168s for $18.99
I’ll have to check it out

Dicks sporting goods has some glide baits that are really good for the price there 16 dollars
I’ve never seen any I’ll have to take a look
First. Let’s goooooooo!!!!
Congrats🤙🏻🔥
I would ask where you fish bc I live in Dothan but a fisherman never gives his best spots up😂
It’s a private pond anyways😂
Nice video bud. Check out the S-Waiver, and the Gantarel Jr. Also in future videos, try not to say “um” so much.
I’ve been wanting to pick up a gantarel jr for a while now
Logan Anderson Fishing don’t sleep on the S-Waiver. Less than 20 bucks for the 168 size and it’s and AWESOME glide bait.
I’ll look into it thanks for the suggestions🤙🏻
Get a magdraft, same price as the bbs
River 2 sea s waver is good
Every time you slow down you get bit. But your still fishing fast! 🐢
🤙🏻🤙🏻
Lol go from disappointed to getting smashed.
I know instantly changed everything😂
I mean you pay for bait you throw away why not on one you’ll keep and get multiple uses
River 2 sea s waver
I’ll have to check it out
Great vid. I know its slow but I've caught some of my biggest bass on live bluegill just chilling on the bank.
Thank you and it takes some getting use to
Sounds like you're saying "baby bullshit" lol
😂
Baitsanity mega bass magdraft
can we go fish sometime i live in AL
We need to plan something up🤙🏻

U fish in south Florida?
No Alabama
Logan Anderson Fishing oh oof.
Jackall gantarel jr
I’ve seen that one it looks so good
Fishing it way to fast for the most part
river2sea swaver
