- Repotting 4 chunky Haworthia that were in pretty desperate need of bigger pots. Now we're well into spring, I have a lot of plants that will need a repot this year that I didn't have time to repot last year. Enjoy! :)

Beautiful Haworth plants look good in there new pots would love to have some of those seeds off of those big beautiful plants to go in my collection
Thank you so much, Gary 😊 A lot of my Haworthia are flowering now so I'm currently cross pollinating them. Fingers crossed 🤞 Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Chunky roots as well! Those haworthias love your soil mix. ❤😊
Thank you so much, Ana 😊 Hopefully they'll like this mix too as it's a bit different to what they were in. Thank you for watching and commenting as always. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
I love the watermelon Haworthia, not seen one of those before! I got a couple of unidentified Haworthias from a local nursery in the autumn that will need repotting so I'll try and use a similar mix - yours have obviously done very well. Thanks for sharing. 🙂💚
Thank you 😊 The watermelon seems to be everyone's favourite lol. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
They are such beautiful Haworthias Daz😌🙏💖I enjoyed watching🥰🤲🌟
Thank you so much, Newman 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Amazing repotting Daz !! Those cultivars are incredible and nice big roots also ✌
I always get the feeling that I have to put all my cacti in smaller pots when i watch your videos 🤔 all your cacti and succulents grow so well in small pots !!
Thank you for sharing this video full of information again. Amazing Sunday for you and Edith 🤙🌵🏵🌞
Thank you so much 😊 I do always tend to under pot them. It's always better to do that I think. Also my space is limited so that's another reason and why I sometimes delay repotting haha. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful Sunday from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
@@Cactimania think you're right, you can get better results on the roots if you put them in small pots. It can be seen by the way you do things and i don't have space either lol. I think I'll follow your method next year. Thanks a lot Daz 👍
Haworthias are one of my favorite plants. I have some of these. Haven't had to repot them yet. Some of mine are blooming right now
They're my favourites, too 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Truly enjoyed watching this video with you, Sweetheart! These are some of my faves in your collection of Haworthias. Gorgeous! I have a feeling though that they will need another repotting soon as these cultivars grow fast if given the space. 😂 Well done, Sweetheart. ❤️🌸🌺🌼💚
Thank you so much my love 🥰 They're some of my favourites, too. Yeah they'll probably need repotting again next spring haha. Enjoyed watching with you as well, babe. Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement as always 🌵☀️❤️🤗😘🌸

Thank you so much, Lyn 😊 I still have so many to repot, though lol. It's going to be a busy spring and summer. Thank you for watching and commenting as always. Have a wonderful Sunday from Edith & myself to you and Hans ❤️🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
@@Cactimania haha yes I am the same with all the repottings to do, I am determined to repot all the ones I never got round to last year haha XXXX 🥰❤🌵😄🌞😎🏜
Wow! What beautiful Haworthia! We have some we bought from a grower in Los Angeles. They're about the same size as yours. We have to grow them indoors though due to Tucson is too hot in the summer.
Cheers from Tucson Arizona!
Thank you, William 😊 I grow all my Haworthia indoors, too. Not that it gets too hot for them here, but they do perfectly fine on a table in front of a south facing window. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Wonderful repotting video of Chunky Haworthia cacti! The ones shown in this video are really gorgeous and nicely potted up! Have a wonderful evening Daz and Edith!
Thank you so much as always, Sylvia 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a lovely day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Хорошее видео. Красивые хавортии ❤
Thank you 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Your plants look awesome ! I don't seem to have any luck with the fleshy haworthias. I've tried in the past. The one I have at present has had minimal water all winter as I feared rot. It is shriveled beyond recognition now 😞
Oh dear. Sorry to hear that. It's the stiff leafed ones I sometimes have trouble with. Sometimes the tips of their leaves will just shrivel up without warning and look unsightly. Pumila types and limifolia are the worst offenders for doing that to me. Hopefully your one recovers. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
They look amazing! Where do you buy the components for the soil mix?
Thank you 😊 I get the pumice etc from Kaizen Bonsai. A bit pricey but buying in bulk usually lasts the year. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Beautiful Haworthias! I don't have the Urahannya yet but it's on my wish list. My H. magnifica v atrofusca is growing fast for a haworthia. It feels like I turned my back on it one day and it became a doubleheader! I have a question for you. I noticed you only remove fully dried dead leaves and not ones that are on their way out. An example is at @6:50. There's at least one that I would have removed because it is shriveled and doesn't add to the beauty of the plant. What is your thinking on this? Concerned about open wounds? Thanks for sharing these lovelies!
Thanks so much 😊 Yeah someone else mentioned about that in a previous Haworthia video I made. I am a little apprehensive about removing those ones because of wounds but I think in future I will. Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️♾️🤗🥰😘❤️
@@CactimaniaI have routinely removed dying leaves like I do with non-succulent plants. So far, I have not experienced any downsides. Thanks for your reply.
@@laurachapin204 I will put it into practice on the next Haworthia I repot that have any leaves like that 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Do you ever use longer pots? I have my collection in terracotta and find that they sometimes do better in a longer pot. Great video 👍
Thank you 😊 Yeah I have some in deeper/longer pots, especially the truncatas. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜
Hi, your haworthias are gorgeous! I have a question. How often do you repot your plants?
Thank you 😊 Not as often as I should really. I do tend to wait until roots start coming out the bottom of the pot and the plants are spilling over the sides. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Thanks for answering my question🌵❤️
Do you use that mix for all your cacti and succulents or only for Haworthia?
Mostly the Haworthia right now. I was using a loam based compost as the organic component but I kept finding too many contaminants in it so I switched over to coir. I've had other plants growing in this type of mix now for a few years and they're doing good so hopefully these ones will like their transition into this mix, too. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Hi, I have a question. I planted a lot of my cactus up last year. Although the pots seem big enough. The roots of some are coming out the bottom. Do I still need to repot ? x val
Not necessarily. If they seem happy in their current pots and there isn't a huge mass of roots coming out the bottom then I'd say they'll be fine for now. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Thanks for answering my question. I was unsure what to do. I will leave them in their pots now for the time being.
xx val
Hiya mate, quick question if you don't mind. Which Osmocote is it you're using? I've had a look for a low nitrogen slow release fertiliser but no joy!
I can't remember what brand it is unfortunately. You can use any type, though. If it's a bit high in nitrogen use less in each pot. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
I was wondering. Do Haworthias get bigger? Like...Does the mother plant get bigger? Or Does it just create pups and get bigger by this way? I'm still very new to haworthias, and one of mine has pups but I don't know if I should remove them or just let them be a put the plant in a bigger pot... (English is not my first language so sorry for the mistakes)
Ones that pup heavily I've found grow slower and not as large but if you do remove the pups from the mother plant they do tend to get bigger. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
@@Cactimania Thank you! 💚
How often do you water in this substrate?
Every one to two weeks while they're actively growing. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
