Please comment and let us know if you are 90's kid?? are you missing this halkova?? This was one of my favourite bakery sweet!! full recipe: hebbarskitchen.com/halkova-recipe-90s-kids-favourite/
This is my most favourite in my childhood days...I still remember that one day on which I ate half piece and held the other half piece in my hand while returning from school to home to ask my mother to do this sweet in home and of course my mother didn't know how to make it but now I can make this for my children....thank you hebbars kitchen ..♥️
❤️❤️ I felt so excited like school kid as soon as I saw the title😁 we used to buy these near our school shop. For 1rupee, we used to get 4 pieces. They were heavenly. Thanks for sharing it
Yum yum. This definitely brings back my childhood memories. We used to get this out side our school's back gate. 25 paisa a piece....I used to spend 1 rupee on those almost everyday
I am also 90 s kid in those days I live in a small village my mother make burfy from suji and besan and it was really too good so testy but nowadays everything looks so filmy even our relatives also behave like filmy
Being a child of this decade still get it in grocery shop,I use to always wonder how it is made? But now I get it thanku for recipe, and congratulations for 5 million subscribers 👍 ma'am
I remember i used to eat this during the school breaks at afternoon ....after collecting all the 50 paise and 1₹ for few days which granny used to give along with fatafat and 2₹ yummies.... Lay's chips was luxury on those days 😂
I remember when I used to buy these coming back home from school. 4 big pieces for one rupee and sometimes the owner would toss in an extra if he was in a good mood. Slowly gorging on them with mates, throwing rocks at mango trees, pulling each others legs. Nostalgic moments. It’s all changed now. Get a ride in your school bus, toss the bags across, have some popcorn and settle down with the PS5.
If only this could be made without all that sugar, I’m old and that’s a lot of sugar 😝 (looks nice) I’m currently sprouting moong to try the moong masala recipe 👍 (healthy)
No palkova is made up of milk. Milk is stirred for a few hours until it thickens and forms a paste. We add sugar and let it cool for an hour under the fan.
Tried this recipe today, cam out well, my boys loved it...so easy & foolproof I just added a little bit of milk powder to enchance the taste. Thanks for the recipe🙂
During summer vacation holidays we used to go to Mysuru, our grandma’s house just to eat halkova & diamond shaped coconut burfi. We used to like the holkova that was brown in color. I guess that variety they add jaggery instead of sugar.
Not only for 90's kids but also for 80's kids it is a favourite sweet. Yes, it was 25 paise per slice. We use to buy everyday after school. Sweet memories
