You've gone the hard way round this it's a 5 minute job to replace the indicator. The black plastic adjuster stays on the car, headlight is held in with spring clips then its 1 screw then the indicator slides out.
The Peugeot 205 is a really cheerful car. There were so many trim levels that it appeared there was a trim for everyone.
Next time just 3D print a 1980s Peugeot 205.
My classic is a base spec 205 so it’s great to see some Pug content!
Excellent choice!
Same mines the same as his just a black grill and also a black grill
Great video guy, I'm a proud user of the 205, cheers
What a pain with all those broken screws, my hat off to you for perservering through. That indicator price makes all well though, brilliant and complete with screw & plate as well.
Can you sand or use acetone on the 3d print gearknob to make it smooth?
Good channel, I enjoy watching.
You should test lamps etc before refitting trim cause if it does not work it'll need to be stripped back down
Good work and well done improving the little chap!
A lot of improvement for not much cash, eh?
Really good vid ! excellent !
Thanks Matt, plenty more to come!
Nice work. I hope you cleaned the crud from the aerial base 🤞
Absolutely!
Please be a little more careful when donkin the aerial base on top of the roof!
Lovely Jubbly matey.
I’ve had the same indicator hassle with my 205. It’s pretty straightforward once you do it 10 times😅. But interestingly, my gear stick was fitted with the ‘94 only tennisball option, very rare! They’re huge fun to work on, even if you’re a novice like me
I've got NO plans to do it again! - Joe
'94 Tennis Ball option? Which one is that?
Just bought a 1.8 d going to d turbo it :)
I have a 1.8D, would love to turbo mine dont know how , any advice please?
Bien joué 😊
This is the one I see in pebsham! :)
Old PSA diesel engines run forever!
You fitted a radio in lol I got a 1.9 dturbo project
I think this Channel needs to do some collaborations
Invest in ratcheting spanners...they are great. I'd love a 205, but no space!
Hello there does anyone know where i can get a 1.8 diesel engine for a 205 cheers
My junior only has a 4 speed :(
Do the lower models use the same body shell as the GTI?
Rear arches are wider on the inside
It is amazing car
Wow, you didn’t need to do 80% of what you did to change the indicator lens, still, you learnt how it all fits together I suppose. 😂👍
Now I can see why it was 400 quid and why u didn’t get a metro
Did the aerial base seal ok? I have one to fit and the lack of gasket makes me nervous!
It seemed to remain watertight despite a couple of months of rain, but the lack of gasket did concern me too -Joe
@@ClassicsWorldUK good man, thanks. I have a base model 205 that's running a 106 GTi engine and gearbox, it's a laugh!
That sounds hilarious fun!
My dad has a Peugeot 205 gti aswell and its just rotting i cant wait to fix it
New fiat panda in the background.
Use Plus-Gas, not WD40. I was told decades ago, chose to ignore it; I've since learnt it was completely true
I bought a new 205 gear knob. Some genius made round hole, while 205 obviously has squarish gear stick. Wasted 17 EUR...
Remove grill, Unclip metal clip on the right, undo screw on headlight adjuster - headlight comes straight out, undo screw holding indicator into plastic holder and it slides out. I felt really sorry for you doing this the really long way :/
11:05 value £1500 🤔
8:55 - the 3D print? Not very awesome at all. You can achieve much, much better results with that type of 3D printer. But, the concept is bloody awesome!
Worth remembering, this was the first concept we made, using one of the cheapest 3D printers on the market!
@@ClassicsWorldUK oh, I agree. Its a win at any level! But, you can achieve much better by tweaking the machine a little. Nice work!
You don't need to take all that off tho 😂 its a 2min job to remove the headlight and indicater.
You didn’t need to remove the grill to take headlights out the unclip from the adjuster and pull out, then easy access to the indicator
