Excitement in the Announcement (12.8.24)

Last week, we started our series titled, “Attitude for Christmas,” reminding us that this advent season is a rescue mission by a Powerful and Loving God for people who sinned against Him. Today, let us add a little, “Excitement in the Announcement,” of Christmas. Using Luke 2:8-14 to guide us, we explore our first point, “Having Peace With God.” Through Jesus, the barrier of sin has been removed. Now we have relationship and peace with God! The peace on earth Jesus brings is foremost the peace that we can have with God through Christ. This peace comes from faith in Jesus and the forgiveness that follows. Are you excited about this truth- that God choose you? That He made it possible that we are saved from our sin so that we will not spend a moment in hell because of our sins against Him? Let God fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let your joy overflow to others. Go about your daily routine “Sharing the Peace of God” to those around you this Christmas season. If and when you see the value of our Lord Jesus’ birth for what it is, (to save you and me from our sins,) then you will be rejoicing as He intends, and “Living in Excitement With God.”
