Karnataka Reservation Bill : കർണാടകയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ മാനേജ്മെന്റ് തസ്തികകളിൽ തദ്ദേശീയർക്ക് അമ്പതു ശതമാനം സംവരണം നൽകാനുള്ള കർണാടക സർക്കാർ നീക്കം വിവാദത്തിൽ. കരടു നിയമം പുറത്തുവന്നതോടെ നിരവധി പേരാണ് എതിർപുമായി രംഗത്തെത്തുന്നത്. തീരുമാനം നടപ്പായാൽ അത് വലിയ തോതിൽ മലയാളികളെ ബാധിക്കും. കർണാടക നീക്കത്തിനെതിരെ ജോൺ ബ്രിട്ടാസ് എംപി രംഗത്തെത്തി.
The Karnataka cabinet approved a bill mandating 100 per cent reservation to Kannadigas, or local residents, for C and D grade posts in private industries. But, chief minister Siddaramaiah, who made the announcement in a social media post on X, later deleted it after severe criticism from industry giants.
