  • Here's how companies use the term "nanometers" when describing their chipsets to mislead you about the device's performance. Let me know what you think about this.

Yeah. We know. And people still love to burn Intel for "being behind" in nanometers, while in reality their recent process nodes were always denser than AMD's.

Yup, we're reaching the point beyond which nanometer scales won't make much of a difference.

Why did you point to yourself when referring to apple at 1:44 🤣

That's why I'm excited about Qualcomm x series processor. Battery life sucks on windows laptop and also x86 based processors are power hungry so they can't perform at full potential on battery. Qualcomm entering the laptop chip market is a good sign for windows laptops.

Yes! I almost forgot about those. They could be the rivals to Apple M series chips.. after a few generations.😅

I knew about this thanks to having heard a Talk at the Heidelberg Physical Coloquium by the Chief Engineer of Zeiss. The Company that makes the Mirrors and Optics used to create the Lithography systems. He basically went like you know how all Nvidia, Intel Apple say we have so many nanometers....? Yeah thats all bullshit.

Bro i totally didn't knew this, i only knew that the nanometer size indicates the transister size and i was wondering how come these cheap china mobiles comes with 4nm chips. Now i know, buy the way good information bro.

Thanks for covering these interesting topics! Most tech videos/influencers actually lie about these brands after getting bribes.

They just add more cores. And if you look at people's recordings during, say, playing a game, every single core out of 32/16 is at most at ~5%. Then those people go and buy better CPU because their old one is slow. People are stupid.

    • @TheHopelessGeek

Yes, additional cores don't help much with single threaded workloads😅
