10-15 years ago the OSCP was worth it, offsec has been more and more of a money grab ever since. employers will keep sponsoring this cert for employees, offsec will keep upping the prices, and theyre not very good about refreshing the content to be less stale
It is exactly a money grab. Especially with all those multiple guess test like Cisco and CompTia ones. If they wanted to be worth while they would go to practical tests like some of the offsec tests. Those I would gladly renew every year because it tests skills.
