Id say the lack of a torso crunch is most likely to aid the support of the Mega Launcher
I'd say the lack of a torso crunch is because the original Delta Gundam model kit this was remoulded from didn't have one.
Was the Hyaku Shiki revive even out yet?

Imagine how good it is to have a Gunpla reviewer like you on youtube. Ever since rrobbert disappeared without a word youtube was laking on high quality reviewers with the exception of MechaGaiKotsu (who reviews rarely) and Kakarot. There is still Prime and jabman who are really good reviewers but their presentation and quality is mediocre (I'm still gratefull that they're there though). Yett it's good to see someone like you making these videos for us, so thank you V3!

Het TYPE V3 how can i thicken the ball joints of the back pack of the sdex standard sinanju?
I agree with you on this being the best design that has come from BFT so far; and along with Build Burning Gundam & R-Gyagya they manage to update and surpass the original Mobile Suits they are based on (but I gotta admit the mega shiki has stronger rivals in both the hyaku shiki and the delta kai)...I would change the white on this kit though, it stands out a little too much.
The undergates come from this being based on the Delta Gundam. Don't throw away all the spare parts.
Yeah, they're all in the box but honestly, I doubt I'll ever need them :/

I'm really glad the kit ended up being solid - I was thinking it'd be similar in construction to the High-Grade Delta Plus, which is a nightmare... XD

Well, you probably shouldn't just rely on my opinion alone - or else you might miss out on something really cool!
I consider the original Hyaku Shiki(from Zeta gundam) as one of my personal fave Gundams ever, especially it's trademark Mega Bazooka Launcher.
Mega Shiki here is a nice and slick take of the Hyaku Shiki. Though the choice of colour is not quite my cup of tea, but I like this BF's overalldesign. The Mega Launcher is a mix between the Mega Bazooka Launcher and Gundam Virtue's GN Bazooka, but in a form of a transformable jet back, which I really like. Overall, this is a nice take of one of my fave Gundams ever.
Im not a big fan of the build fighters series / kits. but i do think it was an awesome marketing strategy. hopefully it will get more people interested in gunpla, and that leads to more newer models from past gundam series

TYPE V3 there is weapon storage for the rifle. just flip the handle in and use the peg to clip it on the side of the wing.

Very nice and solid review and your review style is quite refreshing from some of the other questionable reviewers out there , and this megashiki does look pretty good, the only minor complaint is the feet, where I don't mind the high heel look on some kits, I found them to be a little short and stubby for my taste, but for the rest of suits good looks I can easily look past it and the fact that it comes with its backpack is a big plus unlike the lighting where you had to buy it separately
I actually like the feet! Any longer and they would look like clown shoes... kinda like how it is on the Delta Gundam.
i preordered a Mega Shiki on Amazon, been waiting for over a week for it to be back in stock and even be shipped. unfortunately, this was the only way i could get it. and Amazon selling it was the best price overall
I'm surprised to see it have ball jointed legs. Though considering how good it looks that's just nitpicking on my part. I can't wait to get this kit.
Yeah I was surprised too. But it was able to pull off the leg poses I wanted so I can't complain!
Depending on the hip joint molding (cutout at the top), ball jointed hips can be just as articulate as peg joints.

I was initially skeptical about this because I heard bad things about the Delta Gundam. In retrospect, most of those complaints had to do with the uneven chrome finish and price.
Yeah, I bet the chrome would have made it super pricey.
4200 yen msrp for a rather mediocre kit.

just done build Mega-Shiki..n i see ity have extra part from delta gundam so i use use it to made a shiled for fun n good use hahah have to mod it because it do not have all the part but use model gule it work n is cool

okay, I think I might put this gunpla on my what to buy list.
UGH I wish I had seen this before I bought it. So much undergating, which is great for the finished product, but man it took me twice as long to build as I expected. The finished product is soooo nice though. Great purchase.
Rumil Bautista could be worse. I went into the mg astray not knowing the frame was completely undergated.

im dissapointed in the ab crunch and the ball joint hips. but over all it looks nice and i may get it.

One question here: The leg frame and thighs of this kit are exactly the same as those of HG Gundam Delta Kai so can we bend the lower legs forward waverider style?

Personally I love the Mega Shik's design. But the biggest thing I really love is the Mega Rider, I'm trying to convert mine into a vehicle for my Exia Maverick, similar to the Sparrow from Destiny.

As awesome as this kit is, I really don't like the feet. Seriously, what were they thinking when they put the heels not behind, not under, but in FRONT of the center of gravity? It'd be enough of a problem on a normal kit, but it's downright absurd on one this back-heavy.
I wouldn't really call it a heel, but I see your point.
Is this the only time we ever get Katana shaped beam effect parts?

Yea love it. For some reason it just feels sorta more appealing than the gold on hyaku shiki to me dunno

I think it might be the color settings on your screen. It's purple in this video.

The model kit itself is great, but I'm disappointing because the Mega shiki got defeated before the model release. And I doubt that we gonna see it shows of in the show again.
So, this kit is not for me.
I can relate to that. But hey, that's how all these shows work - they hype you up to buy a toy, then kill it off and show you the next shiny thing!

Good accuracy out of the box? Chest is completely miscolored, it's more of a lavender; both in the anime AND in the first images released on this kit.
it IS a light lavender. very hard to pick up on but it is NOT the same color as the tubing or the bottom of the feet. there's two shades of white, the straight white and the lavender-white.

Well, that's a silly question because they're two different grades. Any RG is almost certainly better than any HG.

I bought the destiny gundam and it's been giving me problems. It takes a lot to get it to hold the weapons and parts fall off way to easily. It's great to look at so if you want a nice display piece then go with destiny but if you want something that is more solid get mega shiki.
